Replacement for my ZimmZamm from the 80's. Was torn between this one or the other brand that is plastic with base you can use anywhere (which was the feature I wanted). My husband talked me out of that cuz he made a base for me for this one where I can use anywhere just not in the ground. I also like that the fact that the parts are all metal and not plastic so should last longer. I am a low impact exercise kind of person so this will fit the bill (better than sitting on the couch!).

Pretty good set when you can keep the ball and string even on the pole. Once it gets too close to the bottom or top the string gets tangled around the pole. Maybe that’s how you know who’s the winner. I use it by myself for exercise and would prefer if you could just continually hit the ball without getting tangled up. Overall a great game though.

Item was used ! One of the paddles was broken and had dirt on it and one of the balls was missing .

So I had a ‘Dunlop’ version of this in the 80’s.This version is ok but there’s no spring that pops up when you get to top or bottom which kinda sucks .The worst feature is the plastic bit that holds the ball string it doesn’t slide smoothly around the coil.Bit disappointed for the $On a good note my kids absolutely love it 😊So great for kids but kinda sucky for adults.Value bit overpriced I think , but worth it for the fun my kids are having!!

Had this when I was a kid and played it all summer long with the neighbors! It was called Zim Zam back then and that thing was sturdy! This…not so much. However we have taken it camping several times and use it in the yard and so far it has not broken (as other reviews mention), but the string does get stuck in the coil which is annoying, and it’s not as stable in the ground as I remember our old one being. We made an extra stand out of conduit for it so it stays in the ground better. But my kids love it and it’s a great way to get those aggressions out, especially when they get good at it and can hit it back and forth every time!

They rope didn't really stand up to the weather very well.
