Samsung AA59-00772A Remote Control

I lost my original remote for my Samsung TV. I have had it for months which brought me to write this review. The remote is exactly like my old one and works flawlessly. The microphone picks up words very well which is what my wife uses and has no complaints. I would like to see a remote finder in some of these remotes. Press a button on the TV and would cause the remote to beep. so we don't have to purchase new ones if lost in the house somewhere.

Works just like my origina,l as this was a replacement. Think it could be priced better but there is no other option for my Samsung TV. The touch pad on these Samsung remotes are very touchy. I know that Samsung received complaints about this style of remote and made changes with future models.

Somehow my original remote was damaged - didn't realize how well it worked until I used the cable remote instead. This is an exact match for what came with the TV.PLEASE NOTE THIS EDIT: Additional information since I purchased this - I found out that I didn't really need to purchase it. Some of the functions stopped working (probably the kids playing with it.) IMPORTANT!! THE ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING CAN BE RESET. JUST HOLD DOWN THE 'GUIDE' BUTTON AND THE 'RETURN' BUTTON TOGETHER FOR 6 SECONDS, AND IT WILL RESET. Hope this helps someone - I got the information chatting with Samsung support, but it's not easy to come by, so I will be writing it down in a safe place.PS - still love the way this remote functions, so not sorry I have a spare!

first time i have ever written a review. but this is such a poorly designed product I had to. I purchased this with the tv initially. iThe touch pad worked sometimes and not others to begin with. By two years exactly it completely quit working. I purchased the new remote after finding out that there is no other remote to work with this television and paid a fortune for it. I purchased it Feb 2, 2016 and received it feb 4th. For one month it was fine. Then yet again, the touch pad (which controls everything) worked part of the time. By June it quit working completely! Another C note down the drain. I contacted the seller who said I have to contact samsung. Spoke with three different departments/staff/managers who had me do technical support which obviously didn't fix it and told me to buy a universal remote. I informed him they don't have one and he disagreed and sent me to another department who said, "yeah no we don't have another option. That is the only remote that works with that tv." another call and they inform me that the warranty is one year and I say okay I just purchased it in February. Then I am told that the warranty is from when you purchase the tv and since the tv is two years old the warranty is out. I said on the remote I just bought?? the warranty on the tv effects the warranty on the NEW remote? answer yeah sorry. Next I am emailing the president. Please do not buy the tv that requires this poorly designed remote. The touch pad is not functional and that effects if you can run the tv. there is not other option and the remote is ridiculously overpriced.

Our 2 year old threw our original remote and broke it. This replacement worked perfectly, though, so now we are just more careful where we keep the remote because it is breakable. But no problems syncing it up to our tv, which I worried about.

I bought this remote in July 2017. It gave me a good 4 months. Around Nov- Dec 2017, it began to have a mind of its own. It’s precision is completely off. If I attempt to watch Netflix or amazon prime, it becomes such a hassle because i can’t control the remote at all times. If i swipe my thumb to the right on the remote, my movie options should also go right but it goes the opposite direction or up or down. It doesn’t matter, it’s not precise. I’ve already checked to make sure my tv and remote are in sync but everything checks out. This remote is something else. I gave it 2 stars because it worked for a solid 4 months. Never again will i buy remotes for tv’s on amazon.

Originally the product arrived but I "thought" the remote did not work. It was not the remote it was me not knowing how to par the remote. After I sent a message to the seller (Nelson) called me back and explained what I needed to do to remedy the situation. He was EXTREMLY polite, and conscientious. This remote is pretty flimsy and easy to break if dropped. I only ordered it because it was the remote that went with my tv. As long as you are careful its not to bad of a remote. The biggest thing that I don't like about the remote is the "more" button. Instead of having all the keys on the remote, you press the more button to get a popup on the tv screen that displays the other remote buttons. You then have to scroll over to the one you want. It would be much easier and quicker just to have all the keys on the remote and I get excately what I want in one button press.
