CLIO Kill Lash Superproof Mascara (01 LONG CURLING BLACK) - OLD VERSION

I have both 01 Long Curling and 04 Extreme Volume and love both for different reasons. The 04 give my lashes nice volume and does not clump, but does not hold a curl as well as 01. It is however, super easy to remove (it's a tubing mascara), which I love. Just thoroughly wet lashes with water and gently swipe product off. I usually remove in the shower. The 01 holds a curl really well, makes my lashes long and does not smudge when wet. Tested it out at Global Citizen Festival in NYC as it rained the entire time and this mascara held. No smudging! It doesnt give nice volume like 04 though and is more difficult to remove. However, I found a solution for that. I purchased the Heroine Make by KISS ME Speedy Mascara Remover from Amazon and that stuff takes this mascara off with ease. I believe Clio also makes a similar mascara remover, but I could not find it on Amazon. Overall, I love these mascaras. They are my favorite mascaras at the moment. I plan on purchasing the 02 Volume Curling one next to see if that will give me volume like 04 with the curl hold of 01.

Preface: I have short and straight downward growing eyelashes, so I demand a mascara with good lift first and foremost. This mascara delivers good lift and longevity throughout the day. This mascara tends towards the drier side, which helps keep lashes light and not clumpy. It makes your lashes stiff and straight, like strong hairspray. The wand is a fairly small "c" shaped bristle brush, which is better for small eyes and getting all the little eyelashes on the edge. It is also easy to do bottom lashes due to its compact brush head. The formula is waterproof, and will not budge until you remove it. Here's my detailed breakdown: Volume: 3/5, Delivers average volume, can layer 3 times before it becomes clumpy Length: 4/5, Lengthens and straightens lashes well, but not a fiber lash formula Lift: 5/5, Keeps a curl made by a lash curler perfectly, formula does not weight down lashes Definition: 4/5 Will somewhat group lashes together to form thicker looking lashes, but moderately. Definition of individual lashes are still prevalent. Longevity: 5/5, You will wake up with this the next morning still looking intact. In fact, regular makeup remover hardly does the job to remove it. Feel free to swim or cry. Smudge/flake-proofness: No smudging or flaking after it is set. After an 8 hour workday, it still looks fresh. Overall: 4.5/5 This mascara is good for those looking to add length to their lashes, who don't care too much about volume, and above all, need a mascara that holds a curl as well as a mascara that will last all day.

This mascara will lengthen and keep your lashes curled sky high for the entire day! It is not easy to remove but if you leave some beauty balm cleanser on for awhile and keep working it in, it eventually breaks down. If you want fluffy, long, curly lashes that do not smudge or flake this is perfect. This is not a volumizing mascara, so use the volume mascara from this brand or use another coat on top if you are looking for that. Also if you need it to come off easily, it is probably not the brand for you. The price point makes it a value for special occasions especially. Doesn't clump, yet lengthens pretty well. You don't need much for it to hold. To be honest, it doesn't keep my lashes completely upright for the day but it does a better job than any other mascaras I've tried. My lashes do drop a bit after a while, but they still keep a slight curl and never droop or go super straight. I wear a lot of sunscreen and cosmetics, but I've never had issues with it coming off (very smudge proof). In fact, the only reason I took off a star is because it is VERY hard to remove. I always take off my makeup with a double cleanse and I have to really work in the oil cleanser for it to even break off the mascara. I think the reason it has such a good hold is because the mascara liquid dries down to be really brittle, like I cleanse it off and i see little sticks of mascara come off, think mini toothpicks. Don't get me wrong, it's a lot of work to remove, but I still think it's worth it for the overall performance of the product.

I really like this mascara in that it doesn’t leave smudges under my eyes by the end of the day. I live in a dry climate, so that may make a difference. The mascara goes on pretty evenly with minimal clumps—except after it’s been open awhile, then it’s likely time to get a new tube. I like that it extends lashes without weighing them down, and I can apply a second coat for extra length. The biggest drawback is removal at the end of the day. This mascara requires using an oil-based eye makeup remover and some effort. (I like Clinique products.) Though, it comes off more easily than another version of mascara from this company. If I don’t get it all off at night, the shower seems to take off the rest in the morning, and I use a cotton swab to remove anything that’s left on my skin before applying a new coat. I’ve set myself up with a subscription, I like it so much.

best mascara for stubborn lashes!! I’m on my second tube and i used to never wear mascara because they always gave me panda eyes and made my lashes droop but this one changed my lashes forever!! stays curled all day, no panda eyes, and waterproof! only downside is i sometimes see small flakes fall over time around my eye but it’s really not that big of a problem. some people might struggle taking this off but you just have to use a oil cleanser or mascara remover. i use heroine make speedy mascara remover and it’s THE BEST and quickest way to gently remove waterproof mascara.

I was really excited to try the CLIO Kill Lash mascara because I love CLIO’s other products. The delivery and packaging was great, I had no problem with any of that. When I actually used the product it was great. It lifted my eyelashes without me curling it before (I did not try curling my eyelashes before but I’m sure it would still look amazing). So the product itself was great and worked like the description says. The reason I give it a three stars though is because it is hard to get off. I have only used it twice and even though I like how it looks I will not be using it again because of the removing process. It really is super proof and it protected a little too well.😅 It took a few minutes to get just most of the mascara off with my makeup cleaner (Garnier micellar cleaning water for waterproof mascara) and it only took off some of the mascara. Even after my shower and scrubbing my face with facial cleanser (Cetaphil) there was still mascara. In the end I am deciding not to use the product anymore. I’m worried it could damage my eyelashes if I use it too much and have to repeatedly be harsher on my eyelashes just for removal. I read other reviews after I bought the product (I know… I should’ve done it before 🤦‍♀️) and people were saying how hard it was to take off and some people said they were losing a few eyelashes during the removal process.😬 ‼️LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES AND READ REVIEWS BEFORE PURCHASING!!‼️ I’m really sad I did not like this product as much as I had hoped I would.😔 However, I really love CLIO’s other products and will still buy their other products just not the mascara.😊

I absolutely love mascara favorite part of makeup. I hate curling my lashes with and eyelash curler so I wanted a mascara that will actually hold a curl instead of putting on mascara, letting it dry, then re curling,, not good for your lashes!!! I saw this product and read the reviews which mostly are all amazing things but a LOT of people on here said how hard it is to remove which I was a little scared about bc I didn’t want my lashes to fall out or break, almost didn’t buy it bc of the reviews. But THE REVIEWS ARE WRONG. IT IS NOT, NOT HARD AT ALL TO REMOVE. I still bought it and thought I’d at least try it, and to prepare I got some neutropenia eye makeup remover as prep and I also have cold cream. When I put it on not only did I only curl my lashes once, but put on the mascara and they stayed all day long perfectly curled! When it came time for me to remove it for the first time I was so scared, but I put some of the eye makeup remover I listed above on a cotton pad. Held it for a few seconds. Then from my root of my lashes up. I wiggled slowly and it started to come right off. Don’t know why people said it was so hard to remove. It really isn’t. So if you don’t want to get this bc you’re scared like I was, DONT BE ITS THE BEST AND YOULL BE SO HAPPY YOU GIT IT! Makes my eyelashes so long and curled and beautiful and natural. Definitely recommend this. Now is my new fav mascara!!!
