This cane has proved to be just what I need. I have been very weak lately because of an illness that makes it difficult for me to walk with my usual confidence in my hilly neighborhood. This cane has a comfortable and stout rubber handle that provides a secure grip for me. It is also very strong, yet not too heavy, and has enough heft to it that I know it will support me and be useful in any unforseen emergency. It will support a 250 pound person. Also, the special snow spike at the end of the cane is easy to engage on icy days and will come in handy when the winter roads up here are slippery and dangerous. I recommend this cane for anyone who needs a "serious" cane that will do the job it was intended to do. It is also a beautiful walking aid I am proud to own.

Great combo! Was happy to finally find a cane I felt comfortable with, for both outdoor and indoor use. Sturdy, easy to use, and priced sensibly, and the ice extension is both easy to operate, and great for those ice patches on the walkways.

I’ve been using the same ugly aluminum cane for 7 years. Last year I ordered a pretty blew cane and it collapses when it’s in the mood. I’ve been going to alot of dressy events and wanted something nice. This cane looks good, the padded handle is comfortable, it’s got alot of height settings so you can get the perfect fit, it’s strong and steady. And it’s got a separate spike on the bottom that you can click on to use in the snow and ice, perfect for this winter! Highly recommend

The ice spike really works and the cane is very stable and adjustable

The retractable tip works well, and really helps with the ice. It is easy to push in and out, although it would be nice to be able to do that from the top of the cane, not have to bring the bottom up to do it. It can be slippery when entering a building, but that's to be expected. It is solidly made. I am not thrilled with the hook shape of the handle, as it creates stress in my hand that I don't experience with my other flat-handle cane, which is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

Cane is very sturdy.Good grip to hold on to with a strap.Best part is a spike that comes out easy.So walking on icy streets is safer.

I am writing this review about the cane its self and not the tip. i have had it for 10 months now got it in march but winter of 11-12 was a light winter in Iowa. we just had a large blizzard here this past December, so just got a chance to check out the tip. it cant go through our hard ice so not a big help does go through hard snow ofcourse. but this is still the best cane ive ever bought. the handle shape doesnt make my hand cramp up like other types do so its a big plus. its hollow but it is so sturdy it easily handles my weight im 265 pounds and it has never slipped. i lean on it all the time to take pressure off my bad hip. so if you want a good cane cant go wrong with this one. just remeber dont pop out tip unless need to cause if forget to put away im sure would put hole in carpet

I have bought this same cane at least three times for my father. He has kind of a bad habit of leaving them behind in shopping carts, doctor's offices, etc. The came is very well made and the metal tip at the end has come in handy on many icy occasions. When I bought this most recent replacement cane I made a couple of "if found, please call..." labels and taped them to the shaft of the cane. maybe this will help, but it's a really nice cane so maybe not.
