Great value!
Well made and hold a lot of weight for the price. I used it to display my different Starbucks mugs in my office at work. Having seen some other reviews that mentioned the mugs sometimes slid off, I took some thin velvet ribbon and wrapped it around the end of each peg. I then tied a knot in the ribbon that acts as a "stopper" of sorts to keep the mugs from slipping. There's not too much danger of them slipping if it's hung straight and you're not constantly knocking the mugs, but I just wanted to be safe. I also used screws & anchors to mount it instead of nails, since this is office drywall and not very sturdy.

Nice
This seems to be really sturdy and was easy to hang up. It helps my 1 year old to stop taking the mugs out of the cabinet and throwing them. I like the look too. This was a good purchase.

Works well for mugs
I ordered two mug racks at the same time since I couldn't find the info I wanted on either one and wanted to get free shipping. I was hoping I could use one for mugs and one to hang necklaces. What I ordered was:1) Fox Run Expanding Beechwood Coffee Mug Wall Rack for $13.402) Expanding PEG Rack 10 Hooks Hardwood Multi-purpose Vertical or Horizontal Wall Mount for $10.80.The difference in quality of the two in comparison of the $2.60 difference was incredible. The Fox Run rack (1) has sturdy 2" pegs and are firmly attached to the rack. The rack itself has 3/8" wood and has a very nice finish to it. Not to mention that it gives you three extra pegs to boot over the Expanding PEG Rack for a total of 13 pegs. As others have written, the hardware isn't the greatest so I asked my husband to put two screws into the racks through the wall to make sure that it stayed put. It holds all sizes of mugs easily, even some that I consider to be soup mugs. The Expanding PEG Rack (2) has 3/8" pegs that aren't tightly adhered to the rack at all. The wood of the rack (I think someone compared them to Popsicle sticks, rightly so) is 1/8" thick. There is no finish to it at all. However, the hardware is a definite improvement over the Fox Run. For light necklaces, this will work fine, but anything heavier will break it to be sure. For the extra $2.80, the Fox Run is definitely the studier, much better made product.

Nice rack
I love the fact that this coffee mug rack is actually versatile in that you can hang it horizontally or vertically and can make it wider or skinnier. My only issue is that the little hanging hooks that come with them are extremely cheap. If you want to hang this you will need to either replace them with bigger and better hanging hooks (you might want to add more than two just to be safe) or you will want to mount it with screws. We had just recently received 3 sets of 4 beautiful mugs and needed somewhere to display them. I found this item and gave it a go. It's a fun little piece but as I said you will need to replace thew hanging hooks with something sturdier. I chose to put 4 screws in the rack by drilling two holes near the top and two near the bottom as I chose to hang this unit vertically. In fact I am thrilled that I did this because it creates a far more sturdier rack and while drilling and using the screwdriver I noticed that one of the hanging hooks had actually come off anyways. That would have been a terrible disaster if the mugs were on there.Anyways this rack is secured to the wall and isn't going anywhere. They proudly display beautiful mugs and is a great piece to have if you like to swap out seasonal mugs throughout the year. The rack itself is well made. I just was surprised by how cheap those hooks are. Anyways if you're just a little handy this rack will make a great display in your kitchen, dining room, etc. Oh and there are more uses for this than just mugs. I imagine you hang up a variety of items on these racks that could even go into the mudroom, clsoet, etc. So have fun exploring the different possibilities this little rack can provide.

I love it!
First - I do not use it for coffee mugs.I saw someone else using it in their nursery and I loved the idea so I totally copied it.I bought some wood rings from the craft store and some metal rings from the hardware store and use it to hang up the baby wrap and baby blankets. It also works great with a ring sling.I don’t know how sturdy it is since I don’t put anything super heavy on it. Like others suggested I did (or my husband did) mount it to the wall with screws that he drilled through the wood and anchors. Not sure how well it would stay up with the mounting it comes with.I did send it back once because I really did not like the wood the first time (it was super orange and with a weird grain - I know totally superficial).

Excellent quality on a budget
I bought this in 2014 because it was the cheapest mug tree I could find with halfway decent reviews. Fast forward to yesterday, when it FINALLY broke. I say finally because its life wasn't easy. I had every hook used for heavy mugs. I re-decorate when I'm stressed, so I moved and re-hung the thing countless times. The walls in this house are thin and every time a kid slams a door, the thing would shake around (not a product flaw, it uses hooks like for a picture frame, it's obviously gonna happen). I have no idea how it held up so long, but I'm proud to have known it. If I didn't have so many mugs and need more hooks, I'd have ordered the same thing as a replacement. Don't let the price fool you, it's a great product.
