Really liked it but did not work for our heavy Ac Unit for rv
Purchased for our travel trailer. Ran great on everything (Radio,TV,Awning,Slide out,Microwave) BUT did not work for our 15,000 BTU AC Unit. Overload and shut off. Believe it would work fine on 13,500 BTU AC Unit. Loved the remote start and easy hook up. Ended up purchasing the Honda EU2000i Companion Generator Combo. Worked great and runs the AC. Porta Source said it was pretty quiet but the Honda is so much quieter just wish it had the remote start like the Porta Source.

Remote start for under $1000..."No way!
I used my unit at the World Ag Expo in Tulare California. Everyone was impressed by the features and how quiet it was. We used it to run corded electric chainsaws and charge our cell phones. People viewing the chainsaws were distracted by the generator. There first words were, "Wow, that is pretty quiet...not as quite as Honda but close." The next thing they said is, "How much?". I answered "I got mine for under $1000." Then I showed them the remote start feature. Disbelief along with two words, "No way" followed.This inverter is feature packed and the folks in Tulare mentioned that running well pumps with this inverter wouldn't decrease the life of the well pump motors.The package includes an RV plug adapter, Phillips screw driver, and 12V battery charging alligator clips. Be careful when unpacking because the hardware used to connect the battery is contained in the parts bag but it is very small.The fuel tank is not as large as some of the competitive 3200 watt units but the other features far out-weigh the tank size.Note: Porta Source doesn't advertise the fact that the USB charging port works even if the machine is not running. This is very sweet because it would be wasteful to run the entire unit for only charging one cell phone or tablet.Update:It's still going strong after 100 hours but looks to be built for over 1000 hours. I am very satisfied with the unit. I would buy another one and have already recommended it to friends. I'm also eyeing up the 800 watt Porta Source for recreational use.

Great product
I picked up an Earthquake IG800 when they first came out. That generator has become part of my standard ice fishing equipment in the winter and then stays in the camper for the summer. After finding out that Porta Source generators are made by the same company I found this 3200 watt generator. With plans coming up for a large ice fishing contest my 800 Watt just would not be enough to run multiple fish shacks and keep a bunch of food warm all day. I also have been looking for something to replace my big extremely loud generator for running the camper. So I figured with an outstanding 800 watt product why not give the 3200 Watt unit a try. After getting it I hooked up the camper and it ran everything without any trouble. During our ice fishing outing this machine was unbelievably quiet and ran 3 fish shacks along with multiple crock pots. People stopping by could not believe how quite it was. For spending the night on the ice the remote start is great. When I have fish too tend to in the middle of the night I can start the generator from bed and have the lights turn on. I really like how light and compact this generator is compared to my old large frame heavy unit. I am looking forward to this year’s camping season to put my new 3200 to its test. I already listed my old generator as this unit does everything I need and is half the weight and size.

Solid and compact generator
This unit does everything I ask it to -- from charging my cell phone to running my small wire feed welder. I have even used it to run my 5-ton log splitter. Its nice and quiet and has a compact design. I have taken it on camping and hunting trips where it sat out in the snow and rain - the remote start is an added feature that I have grown to love.
