Awesome. Solid adult transportation.
Better than expected. While looking for a adult electric scooter, I had some very stringent requirements:(1) It couldn't look like an electric scooter, with a big battery compartment hanging underneath.(2) It had to have a weight limitation well over 250 lb.(3) It had to have a top speed of at least 15 mph.(4) It had to have a "real world" range of at least three actual miles.(5) It had to fold.(6) It had to have a price point of less than $300, and hopefully closer to $200.The Hover-1 Rally was the only one that met all of this criteria at the same time, meaning that it doesn't look like it has a battery, and it will carry a 250 lb person at 10 -15 miles per hour, for 3 miles. After two days of testing, I can say that it passed with flying colors.A COUPLE NOTES:* You should probably factor into your cost, the price of a motion sensing alarm and ridiculously heavy duty bike lock, and I'm not talking about about the $10 bicycle "chain" type locks either.* The "up to 7 Mile range" rating is probably unrealistic. If it's a 100 lb child going 5 miles an hour, maybe. If the battery life improves after going through a few charge-discharge cycles, I will edit this part of the review.* This thing is really heavy duty, and I don't expect for any parts on it to bend or break anytime soon.* The headlight is ridiculously bright, enough that if you are on a sidewalk at night, oncoming traffic might complain.* The electronic lever for breaking works very well, and the manual rear emergency brake can stop you almost instantly, so I would suggest that you practice with it at low speed first.* The small round digital dashboard is easy to read.* If it takes 4-5 hours to completely charge, but if you're not running at full speed with a heavy person on it, you're not going to have to charge it as often as you think. I would like to see a fast charger, and a car cigarette lighter plug-in adapter for charging.* The manufacturer does not have a money back guarantee, but Amazon does, so that is a definite advantage.BOB 😎

Total Garbage - DO NOT BUY
The scooter was purchased for my son in November 2020 as a Christmas gift. The scooter was first used in late January/early February and used once or twice a week for short rides. Within the first week, the plastic wheel guard for the front wheel broke off which wasn't a big deal but battery stopped charging in June 2021 so the scooter is a brick and useless. I contacted Hover-1 asking they replace the charging unit which I believe is the issue and Hover-1 refused because it was beyond the 90 day warranty. That's fine because that's their warranty policy but it's inexcusable for any company to produce a product that doesn't last more than 6 months at this price. Hover-1's refusal to address the problem proves that the company won't stand behind the quality of its product. How quickly the product suffers a major malfunction and the extremely short warranty period is a pretty good indicator that Hover-1 is not committed to making a high quality product. Their business model is to take your money, let their product break after three months and then take more of your money on replacement parts because the warranty expired. Save your money and do not purchase this scooter.

17 months later still runs perfectly! LOVE this Scooter!
I bought this scooter in Sept 2020. I use it every day for commute to and from work, and it still runs like a dream it is literally the best purchase i've made in years. I bought it during the pandemic to avoid crowded sidewalks and its been a godsend. Level 3 goes up to 15mph so handy if running late and trying to catch that light! I mainly use Level 2 cruises at 10mph and best for safety and battery conservation. Level 1 goes 5mph good for if you must ride on sidewalk (not recommended, wheels are not high spec you will feel every crack, and you'll be that a-hol in peoples way) The LCD display is incredibly funtional and useful can switch from kph to mph, will show trip distance, clock time, lifetime odomoter, and more. Also its lightweight I carry it, unfolded, over my shoulder, going up 6 flights of stairs each day and its easy. The folding down part took a while to figure out. I find it easiest by kneeling on board, while pushing pole foward, and pulling lever towards me. IMPORTANT: Keep in mind its intended for that 'last mile journey' its battery life wont take you on a leisurely ride around for the day. Its for getting from A to B and back. And using level 3 drains batter faster as does going up hills. Use level 2 to conserve battery life. If you want something with higher motor power get your $$$'s out and buy higher spec model but you can't fault this sturdy functional scooter which is great value for money. I waited a long time for good deal before purchasing when price dropped so keep an eye out for special deal. I am just so happy with this Scooter highly recommend!!
