Great product
These are great for cleanup, no more paint cans glued together. Every time I open a used paint can it's like opening a new can of paint.

Does the job, keeps it clean!
Clever device. I saw this suggested on Ron Hazelton's House Calls TV show. My paint cans always had gobs of paint in that groove and got worse every time I opened and closed them. IF you use this the very first time, it will do the job and keep the lip groove clean. BUT.... if you have already had paint dry in the groove from previous openings, this will probably NOT work as you would hope! The magnetic thing on top does a fair job of holding a paint brush, as long as its well balanced and not too heavy.

Does what it is designed for
My son has his own painting business. I bought one for him to try out. He was amazed and loves the product. I will be purchasing more so he has an ample amount of them.

Too hard to clean
It sounded like a great idea. But, this item is harder to clean than the paint can rim using a rag or paper towel.

Not really a better mousetrap.
Great idea and obvious thought went into this but I didn't have much luck with it. Just another thing to clean. You still wave to wipe rim with a rag

Solves the problem perfectly
I was skeptical that this item was all it was advertised to be, but it is and does solve the problem of cleaning out the paint can groove before replacing the lid. The down side will be if this is used on oil based coatings, it will need to be cleaned with a solvent rather than water like when using latex based coatings.

Made the mess go from one part of the can to another. More of a gimmick than a useful tool.
