AVOID!!!
I can’t rate these any higher than 1 star. Bought as a gift and had to return as they did not work as expected. One mill didn’t operate at all the other would randomly start grinding when upright only.

Doesn’t hold enough salt
Great big bottle but only holds a spoonful of salt or pepper, works well but I’d be refilling it every few days. Will be returning it.

They look great but one of them stopped working now, and we’ve had it for less than a month.

Instructions are a little poor plus no pictures to follow.
Once I worked out how to put the batteries in I was in a position to use this Electric Salt and Pepper Mill. The instructions are a little poor plus no pictures to follow. Batteries not included. After that initial panic, I was on my way in filling up the Electric Salt and Pepper Mill. The rest is quite simple. Fill and then use, as you tilt this activates the mill to start grinding. Adjust the top right or left to granulate the pepper or rock salt. The Electric Salt and Pepper Mill is unusual in shape and size as it can be mistaken for a GYM water bottle. Great to the touch and feels well made.I very pleased with the Electric Salt and Pepper Mill and is now a handy tool in the kitchen and on the dinner table.Try mixing rock salt and pepper and dry chillis to make your unique mix.

Just not worth it
This is the second Masterclass product I've had where I'm left disappointed. This mill looks nice and feels good in the hand with it's smooth soft surface, but in use it's just not good enough. I've given it a good while too. First off it's actually pretty frustrating to fill because the opening is tiny. It's a very fiddly thing in general really, with the battery compartment (which houses six (!) AAA) seemingly wanting to open at inopportune times, like when filling for example. The grind I initially found to be good – the salt I initially had in there came out in a nice stream of small crystals that weren't in danger of cracking a tooth – so a win there! The pepper was good too, with it being ground right the edge of it being shavings, which I like in pepper. A month later though I noticed it was starting to struggle, and about a third less was actually being ground out. Having previous experience with electric mills I made a point to never use this over a cooking pot as the steam can clog, so I was surprised to see this clog. All in all this is decent, but, along with my two previous electric mills, it won't be converting me from manual.
