I would try to roll the edges the opposite way first to stretch the threads a little, then attach the tape and press onto the floor where you want it. and maybe even weigh it down with something heavy like books, etc, for a few days. **Q: Could you tell me the exact width? It was 47mm.** A: My roll measures 50 mm/5cm/1 and 15/16ths inches wide **Q: Will this tape pull off paint or stain?** A: I guess it’s possible depending on the paint and if it’s adhered well to the painted surface or not. This stuff is sticky I’m not gonna lie. I just pulled it up off my laminate wood flooring and had to kinda push one corner of the tape to get it to roll up a little to be able to pull it off. I am in the process of completing constructing a delicate arrangement for a 50" TV to rest on its original TV's feet upon a platform of a 43" shelf that I am designing. I'm not yet finish. I am placing my platform on a lazy-susan to swing about 40 degrees in both directions. To keep the cable box, the TV, a soundbar, the power cord and everything from becoming tangled, they all have to rest on the platform that I am constructing. And each time that I swing the laze -susan, I risk the chance of the TV toppling over, or everything on the platform to shift position and potentially become unstable without support at the extreme rotation of the lazy-susan.
