The gimmick is it has self-adhesive, no fussing with a tube of cement. First one lasted a week and a half before it broke off... okay, maybe I didn't sand it well enough or something. Second one lasted maybe three weeks before popping off.These will cause you to keep redoing your patches -- just do it right and get a proper patch kit that uses vulcanizing cement. No, that's not some star trek thing, it chemically joins the patch rubber to the tire rubber, creating a continuous material. These just slap some cheap glue. It'll take you maybe three minutes longer to apply, but it won't break off like these do.

I bought these in the event that during one of my 30+ mile bike rides in rural areas my inner tube gets a puncture. A few weeks ago, such an event happened and the need to use the patch came into play. Patches don't always work, so I did carry a spare inner tube... just in case. Well, the patch has held out now for a few weeks and someplace more than 150 miles, and doesn't show any sign of failing. Obviously, it works! Follow the instructions (sand as spot slightly larger than the patch, peel the backing off the patch, and stick it on the tube) that come with them and be sure to use the sandpaper gently. Perhaps it should go without saying that these are intended to repair small punctures, not a tear or large damage.

Sorry, these patches just didn't work for my punctured road bike tube (2 1/16th" slits 1/8" apart on inside of tube)Tried twice but each time one slit or the other leaked out from the patch. Tire would pump up to 110 psi but would be flat the next day. So never was able to ride on the patch repair.However, I went to cycle shop and got larger patches that require the glue application. That patch held for 4 - 35/55 mile rides, but developed a slow leak. The tire went flat after my last ride (whew). So maybe nothing exists that will save this tube from the recycle.

They are small patches about the size of a penny. The case is very small. Great if you’re going to carry them on your bike. My daughters bike tube had a raised seam down the middle and the tiny pin hole was very close to it. I sanded the area as much as I could, trying not to damage the tube. But there was still a little bit of a raise. I did not want to sand it all the way down because I was afraid it would damage the tube. I cleaned the area and applied the patch. I rubbed the patch as smooth as I could get it over both sides of the raised area. The little patch worked great. No leaks so far.

Great product!!! Got a flat. Back in the day I remember fixing my flats on my Schwinn Scrambler by clamping the patch kit on the tube and LIGHTING THE PATCH KIT ON FIRE. It seared the patch to the tube. Luckily I didn't burn down my parent's garage. So needless to say I didn't have to use fire to fix this flat. I sanded the leak, peeled off the back of the patch and held it in place for 30 seconds. Put air in the tube and I'm ready to go. Great buy!!!

I purchased glue patches from my local bike shop. I used it once and a couple of months later went to use it again and the glue had dried up. As I was searching for a better price on Amazon, i found glueless patches! Who would have thought it.? I ordered this kit. Repaired my tube, and it works excellently. I put a small bike bag on and placed the kit in there for future issues. I also purchased the Samlite mini bike pump, so I wouldn't have to walk miles back home, which happened to me just a couple of days ago, and is the reason I went to Amazon in the first place. Total junk. This didn't work at all. When you apply the fix, it doesn't even allow for the expansion and movement of the tire before it comes off. This was a total waste of money. I had to go to Walmart to buy a different kit that would actually work.

Do not buy. We just tried 6 patches on a tire and all of them burst off as soon as we tried adding air to the tire. I changed to my trusted brand of patches and the first one worked without any incident (like they usually do). For whatever reason this brand does not have enough adhesive power to do the job.
