I have these connected to the BOSS Audio Systems MGV500B Marine Boat Stereo Gauge Receiver - Bluetooth, No CD DVD Player, AM/FM Radio, 3 Inch Color Screen, Weatherproof... Sounds great and I am sure it would be even better with an amp.

Fitted these speakers and one of them vibrates badly even at low volume changed them from side to side with the same result.Absolute waste of money and very disappointing.Purchased another pair of these speakers to replace bad one and found I had it wired up wrong The speaker is OK. I I am sorry if this review has mislead anyone.

Ordered these at 9PM and they arrived at 630AM the next morning...WOW!! I put them in my boat by 930AM, and I can't believe that they made my 12-year-old Sony amp sound GREAT!! The sound is incredible I will follow up in their durability, but I can't say enough about the expediency of delivery and ease of installment and the sound delivery!!Very pleased so far.

Extremely disappointing. Even at relatively low volume they sound like they are vibrating. The noise is in the speaker though. Un-mounting them and holding them in my hand does not change the vibration sound. NOTE - you cannot return these to Amazon so if you hate them you probably cannot get a refund. I would try a different brand.

I bought 4 of these for my boat and actually thought they sounded really good. I was running a Kenwood Marine stereo through them. The second summer I had them, I went to test out my stereo for the upcoming boating season. I was only getting a faint sound out of the left channel stereo side. I figured my Kenwood stereo had water damage or something and yanked out the stereo. It actually turns out, though, that it was the speakers all along. Out of the 4 speakers, only 1 was still working. The tweeters in the others worked, but the bass cone was dead on all 3 of them. Frustrating to say the least. So, they did not even last 2 years. I wouldn't place too much faith in the reliability of these speakers... Update:After removing the speakers, there is something flopping around at the base of the cone and magnet on the three speakers that quit. The one speaker that is still good does not exhibit this. Evidently, the adhesive they used to secure the speaker parts does not hold up in an outdoor environment.

I was looking for a decent set of speakers for a reasonable price. I am normally moored in close proximity to other boats and keep the volume at a reasonable level. These speakers fit the bill. Sound quality is much better than the original speakers that came with the boat. Installation took about 1-1.5 hours per speaker as I had to enlarge the opening in the fiberglass. If the existing openings are the correct size it should take less than a hour for both.
