Very good, I love it
Very good, arrived on lime and packed well, used once for cutting meat, that is what I buy it for, very sharp, weight is good. only thing I hope it will be different is that if it a bit wider and shorter, so will be easier to cut the meat.

Great buy!
I'm very happy with my purchase! The knives come sharp too. I love the handles which are great for balance. This is my second knife purchase of the set. I bought a larger knife and was equally happy. Very good quality.

Outstanding smaller knife
I've spent (wasted) ridiculous sums on expensive "quality" knives that perform no better than regular knives. And they're all too big for paring or small tasks. I was loathe to spend a lot on a small knife. So glad I took the chance and bought this one. It came very sharp. The handle is heavy and stable. I'm not sure, but the handle feels made of metal, too--and solid. No place that I've found for germs to hide. One solid, smooth, nicely weighted knife. My favorite now. Tempted to buy another just in case anything happens to this one.

Excellent knife for its price!
For the price this knife is well worth it! Right out of the box it was very sharp. I did the paper test right away and man, it cuts through the paper like butter. Few things I wanted to talk about is when the knife came out of the box. When I opened the box, and got the knife out, the knife poked right through the little protective plastic piece. The tip of the knife seem a little dinged up because of that. I assume the knife was probably moving around in the box or the box was dropped. Even the sheath was poked right through as well. The knife looked very beautiful. Very well manufactured. Unfortunately there are some horizontal scratches that runs up and down along the knife's edge. It wasn't too noticeable but on certain angle you can see it. By all means I am not a professional chef or a knife expert. Just someone that likes food and cooks at home quite often. I pulled couple things things right out from my fridge to test out this knife. It cuts apple just fine but my Tomodachi Santoku knife did do a little better. I've tried it on other veggies like zucchini and it worked great! Given with my noob knife skill, I can still manage to cut a pretty thin slice with this knife. Like other reviewers said, the knife is a little handle heavy. This doesn't bother me too much. My hands are about medium size and the handle is quite comfortable to hold. Right out of the box at the handle you can see dried glue right around where the plastic was glued to the tang of the knife. This wasn't a problem neither and all I did was gently scrub it with a sponge while washing the knife and it comes right off. In conclusion, the price for this knife is unbeatable. So far I like this knife even though it had some minor flaws coming right out for the box but given the price, it doesn't bother me too much. Seems like this knife will go a long way.

So nice it cut me twice
Great knife. See title. Both times I had it in the sink and it snagged me while I was washing other dishes. It was enough to send me to the bathroom digging for a bandaid. Since then I wash and store it immediately after use.

Decent value
Out of the blister packaging 1st impression is wow this is really light weight. It's not particularly sharp, which makes me question the blade being obviously ground see picture where the grind gets off and there are multiple nicks. The handle is off center at the choyle see picture. It's a sub 10 dollar knife and I certainly won't send it back for either of these defects. I was looking for something a bit bigger than a paring knife but smaller than a boning blade and at 4" this is about on point. Came with a blade cover that I'm quite sure I will immediately displace and loose. Often this size knife ends up being used for multiple jobs that they were never designed for but we carry only so many tools in our bag and specialization is for insects so we multi-task or get replaced. Have high hopes for this after I address the sharpening properly.

pretty impressive for the cost
I've had some high end knives - Henckels, Wustof etc I'm unclear how long this knife will hold up, but weight and feel seem on par. If I didn't know the price, I would have thought it was a more expensive product on feel and performance alone. Very sharp out of the box, but I typically resharpen when I get them, and this seems to hold a nice edge. It seems to sharpen pretty easily, so will see how that translates into longevity. It is a large 8" chef knife, so be aware it has it's limitations. We always hand-wash the knifes as well, so we are not seeing any issues with the finish, but it's also too early to tell. The sheath is kind of a joke, but if you have nicer knives, you should already have a wood block storage already. We have drawer based block. To be clear, this is not the same as a high end knife - There's more heft, as well as more material like at the backbone of the blade. But still - for the price it's pretty remarkable - it's a fraction of the cost of what I paid before.

Great knife for a good price
I was looking for a large knife with a reasonable price to facilitate my cutting work while cooking. I used it now several times and I am very satisfied: it is really sharp, has a very agreeable weight & has a good grip. A very detailed care instructions are included with the knife (see picture), which will help to enjoy it for a long time. Conclusion: very good knife for a very good price.

Basic entry level beginners chef knife. I bought it for the cooks I work with, they love it compared to the Nella knives we have at our restaurant. It comes very sharp "out of the box" and they could not be happier. Sturdy and has a good quality heft feel to it. Not as light as I would it to be but for $10, I can't complain. As to the rust and tarnish people are experiencing, please read the manual that comes with it, you are expected to read and understand the product you are purchasing. In addition, don't expect this knife to hold its edge, buy a steel and hone it after several uses. It's only $10, if you're expecting higher quality cough up more than $100.

Not as sharp as I had hoped right out of the box. Build quality seems pretty good.

I bought this knife really long ago and leave it up-opened. After such a long while and then I needed a new knife these days, I unpacked and used it, still as sharp as brand new (but yes, it is surely brand new as I never use it), and sharp. It can easily cut my food and requires little force to handle. It performs better than some larger knifes I bought in the supermarket. That is pretty amazing! Highly recommended.
