This book is sufficiently interesting for its complete exposition of the several argument about the dynamic programmation. The author considers particularly the Markov processes, the laws of large numbers. the equilibrium of Pareto. The exercizes are many and they allow to the student to apply those recursive methods. So he has a good knowledge about those particularities, if he is able to superate a certain degree of difficulty.

Recursive Methods in Economic Dynamics by Stokey and Lucas with Prescott is so rigorous that it is extremely helpful, both for students and professors who want to use this textbook in class, to have this kind of solutions manual at hand. However, you should be careful when using this book. It contains some mistakes and typos, even though at least one of the authors, Prof. Rossi-Hansberg, is a really intelligent person. I recommend you to buy this book as a last resort, but every time you find something strange in it, discuss with your classmates or anyone else. Otherwise, you may lose your precious time.
