The taste of this is more indonesian/malay/thai seasoning. It is basically an all purpose seasoning that gives instant unforgettable pungent notes from kaffir lime and tumeric. You'll recognize those notes that typify meals from the region.Miso soup and japanese cuisine tends to be relatively bland compared to its neighbours and while you could add this to miso soup it would not really be any miso soup you've tasted before. Nothing wrong with it but just want to warn people that despite its selling point this is not suitable for creating any standard miso soup.You can add it to sauces, marinades, imparting some flavour in whatever you are cooking. Alone i find it lacks depth. I add it to instant noodles sometimes, in tandem with a bit of a stock cube or just a little of the msg flavouring as i try to cut down on msg as i am allergic to it. In combination with other flavourings it can transform a dish.
