Liquid chalk
Love this stuff! Works great and leaves no residue on weights or around the gym. Better than gloves as there is never any slippage.

Excellent as a base coat for climbing
I have insanely sweaty hands that wash away chalk almost instantly, so I have to chalk up for every climb. This liquid chalk is excellent at keeping my hands dry long enough to get the send (or at least to the crux) if I use it as a base coating and THEN use powdered chalk on top.Just a dab’ll do it, usually a nickel-sized spot on my fingertips or a very thin drizzle running up my palm to my fingers on a single hand to then rub around with my opposite hand. The important part is letting it dry a bit first before applying the powdered chalk.A container will usually last me a few weeks of climbing 2-3 times a week, so it’s a pretty decent value for how often I need to use it.Ever since I’ve started using this alongside powder, I can’t go back to just one or the other. It’s just not the same level of grip and performance individually as they are combined.V5 out of 5

Best Chalk Alternative
Doesn't dry your hands out!?Was surprised by this since it does have Alcohol in it as a drying agent. When I first used it, I didn't really notice a difference in my hands while using it, was just really comfortable compared to the normal chalk feel. My first testing was with static holds on my fingerboard. I was actually able to do a pull-up, compared to my normal with chalk where I could only hang; needless to say, I was blown away by how well it worked and that I was able to not only hold better, but could pull myself up and NOT slip. Can definitely notice after you wash your hands though, they do feel dry afterwards; take care of your hands and wash it off, then apply lotion so you can train harder for longer!Coming from Powerlifting, I always went Raw or Powder Chalked, I never used Liquid Chalk until I started Climbing. Wanted to get something that wasn't messy for home-use when I am hang or fingerboarding. This stuff works wonders, I typically use a small bit to coat my hands and wait for it to dry, then use a chalk ball to finish off. HIGHLY effective with very little mess and just the right amount that I prefer for the hand-feel.

Good stuff. Works well.
First of all, you need to shake the tube because the liquid will separate. Use just a teaspoon or two and rub on your hands, one time, quickly. It dries to a powdery dust. I use this for sport throwing, and it lasts about three throws before the powder is gone. That's all I really need at a time, so it works ok. One thing to be aware of, is that any amount of wet or dried powder will prevent the cap from closing completely. I've seen reviews where the opening to the tube gets dried out and clogged. I can guarantee this is from not completely closing the lid. In fact, I have to clean it every few times I use it to get the lid to shut completely. If you see a gap, or if it doesn't click, it isn't closed! If it is closed, it does not dry out.

Great product for today’s new normal at climbing gyms, gymnastics and cross-fit
Great for climbing indoors and definitely for gymnastics chalk ups (prevent the mess and waste and much more sanitary). Just went indoor climbing, totally surprised that when you rub it on, you can’t even see the chalk but wait 10 seconds and your hands are appropriately chalked up. Honestly was quite impressed, only good for chalking up before your climb or between pitches, not for applying mid climb. I think this would be amazing for gymnastics, those chalk buckets are a mess! Not drying and didn’t irritate my skin and doesn’t rub off too quickly. Definitely consider for indoor gyms needing chalk for lifting, climbing etc. to keep people sanitizing.
A**.
Takes long time to dry up, need to out a lot of it.
Takes atleast 3 min to dry up, very annoying to wait, i need to put twice as much compared to other brands i used before, not sure if it because of the brand or because it alco free

Keeps my hands dry
This is not a "stick em". It's chalk. I use it to keep my hands dry for shooting competitions in 100+ degree heat for 5 hours and I only have to apply it once, maybe twice. Leaves a bit of a residue, as any chalk does, but nothing that can't be managed.

Okay, it's been 18 months, but it dried out!
I use this sparingly for firearms training and store it sealed and in a plastic bag. Bought in March 2023, it was dried out in November 2024 and I need to order another one, or perhaps try another brand. With that aside, I don't have fingerprints or oils on my hands, so things just slip out of them. Secret Stuff liquid chalk does the job so that I can do my job. As long as you use it before it dries out, you'll be a happy, er, climber... or whatever.
