Does the job
We used to rent one of these after sealcoating our church parking lot. All of the rental centers in our area stopped renting them out. We tried doing some lines with homemade cardboard stencils, but it was very time consuming.Out of the box, I had to adjust the cable. It wouldn't spray paint with the factory setup. It works like a bicycle brake or gear cable. The fine tuning adjustment wasn't enough, so I had to loosen the nut and tighten the cable quite a bit to get it to work, but that only took 5 minutes. It does the job. I think it will last forever, it seems to be very sturdy steel construction. Easily compatible with the Rustoleum inverted spray cans, they just pop in and out, and are held securely in place. If you make a starter line of some kind, either with a chalkline, or using fishing line and two weights like I did, it's not hard to do good straight lines. I had no trouble with a little math even doing angled hash marks, etc.My only complaint is that when it's adjusted high enough to get full width lines (about halfway up), the lines come out a bit fuzzy at the edges. I guess the only way to cure that would be to put wide tape to mask it, which kind of defeats the purpose of saving time. Maybe some sort of guard could be on there to redirect paint, but I'm afraid that would collect paint and start to drip.I'm a perfectionist, and had to accept that the lines weren't going to have crisp edges like something I'd paint indoors. It is after all, just a parking lot, which is going to get driven on, snowplowed, have mudpuddles, etc., and from the street it looked perfect.

Great for tennis court our other marking line
The media could not be loaded. I have to redo the tennis court line, the size of court it 120 feet by 60 feet. The line size paint it :2 ½ inches large the . 6 lines of 60 feet long; 1 line 60 feet long in center. I used 11 can of 18 once to mark it.Summary the total feet for the tennis court marking line it 420 feet by 2, ½ inches large, view the photo. It works as it should after setup the hight for getting 2 ½ inches spray. Also I have to adjust the trigger that needs to be action the can of paint sprays. It looks easy and same then adjust brakes on a bicycle.Mark line could larger up to 4 inches wide ,but important don't try to paint when it windy. Even in a light breeze, this is not the best to do it.WE HAVE PUT TAPE ON EACH SIDE TO MAKE IT, IT DRY VERY FAST WITH THE PRODUCT SUGGESTED.It is important to have a mark on ground of exact reference to application of the lineYour walk most be slowly to stripes by one pass, if not you will have to redo in either side if you speed to fast.

Good value and simple to use
I have never striped anything before and I acheived professional results right out of the box. I striped eleven parking spots in front of my restaurant and it paid for itself with one application. It is a robust design for the do-it-yourselfer, and suitable for light commercial applications. There is opportunity to improve the adjustment process of the spray pattern mechanism. There is no visual indicator to keep the spray can mounting plate perpendicular to the sprayed surface other than eyeballing it. This will not be an issue for most do-it-yourselfers.

Had to abandon Product shortly after beginning Paint Project...
The mechanism that is suppose to widen Line to 4 inches would not exceed any wider than 2 Inches, despite countless attempts to adjust it to the desired standard Parking Line Width of 4 Inches...My project was to Repaint Existing White Lines on Parking Spaces.... The Lines measured 16ft Long, 4 Inches Wide... Because the Machine would not adjust to the 4 Inch setting, I had to Paint over Each Line numerous times to cover the necessary Width... The result was it took 1 Full Can of the Inverted White Spray Paint to complete just 5 lines --- only a fraction of the amount 1 Can should have covered... The Lines the Machine did produce were also very hazy along the edges -- not sharp at all (despite there being no Wind that day to effect the Spray pattern) ..I ended up picking up a couple 2x4s, a 4 inch Roller, and a couple Gallons of White Parking Marker Paint and did the job much quicker -- with sharper Lines -- and at a substantial savings from having to buy the amount of Inverted Spray Paint Cans I would have had to purchase to repaint the 150 Lines I was tasked with.. Awful product, which surprised me coming from such a reputable Brand as Rustoleum..

Make sure you buy STRIPING PAINT
The striper machine works well, BUT....make sure you purchase the STRIPING PAINT cans, NOT the inverted marking paint that Amazon packages together with thia unit. They sent me marking paint and it does NOT work to stripe parking lot line, the marking paint will only produce a 1-1.5" line no matter the setting on the machine.
