Super sharp and I like the size.

Packaging is good, the knife arrived in perfect condition. Knife is very sharp right out of the box. Feels light in my hand, nicely balanced. The handle is perfect for medium sized male hands, probably a little small for men with large hands. I think most women would find this a nice fit. Well made, with a nice overall finish and solid construction. Should last a lifetime.UPDATE!Still five stars! After one month using this knife every day for cutting anything, fruits, vegetables, meats, and product packaging, this knife is just as sharp as the first day I used it. I use this knife for anything and everything in the kitchen, it’s become my go to knife. After a month of continuous use I haven’t had to sharpen it at all, not even touching the edge up on a steel.

This is my third order of this knife. Before, I wrote that this knife looks like a high quality German knife. It has a very nice grip, is very ergonomic. It also was THE ONLY knife of this size anywhere on the internet. It is one inch deep, which is very hard to find in a 6 inch knife. Most of the deep knives are much longer and much deeper, like meat cleavers. I wanted one just to cut Honeydew, primarily ( I am afraid of the much bigger knives) I needed this size, substantial but not huge.In my first review I wrote that every time I make that first cut into a melon, I have to push hard. I thought that the end, the tip, should be sharper. But after having this knife ( now three orders of it), I feel that it is an excellent knife. It is very high quality for the money. I am now used to using it. My family members like it so much that I have now ordered this third one. I decided this is the best knife on the market for this size. I recommend it very highly now.

This knife has a good, sharp edge. However, it is far too light for doing heavy duty cutting and carving.

Many years ago we got a 5" J.A. Henckel's "Eversharp" utility knife. I cannot rememer where we got it, but we have had it for decades and never had to sharpen it. It still cuts just as good as when we took it out of the package. Due to a dishwasher mishap many years ago, part of the handle melted, but it is still usable. My wife uses the 5" knife almost exclusively, so I bought this 6" one for her to use when the other one needs to be washed, or if more than one person needs to cut something. It is not serrated like our older one, but it is just as sharp if not sharper than our old one. This is a high quality, very sharp knife.

I have my favorite paring knives, but one was getting quite old and ready to retire. This was a replacement. It feels good and balanced in the hand, and I use it almost daily.

This is the ONLY knife I use! Worth every penny!
