Great light duty everyday tool
I'm my opinion, this is the best small utility knife for practical everyday use. Starting with quality, the materials are very solid and stainless tools are high grade. As far as tools go, everyone has specific needs but with the bottle opener being built into the body of the knife, you don't have to open anything up to use it. That's very handy if opening bottles is something you do frequently. Also the box opener is an excellent tool to have so that you know dull the main blade. I also really like that they're is a plyers and scissors and in such a small package they get the job done without adding all the bulk in my pocket, which leads me to the last point which is that it doesn't have bulk or any weight in your pocket, which makes it excellent for everyday use.

Great Multi-Tool
Great little multi-tool. Its very versatile, doesn't weight much, and its smaller size makes it easy to carry in your pocket. I hike and camp and its nice to have so many small tools available that you would otherwise not have with due to weight/space (e.g. scissors, plyers, tweezers, etc.)

Love it
Great key chain tool. Had one six years and I finally wore it out. The small size is great and only thing negative I have to say is not the products fault. The small size does make it weaker if you put extremely high torque or power behind use. At which point you likely using it when you should be using a larger version. The blades are sharp, the drivers work as expected for small tool, the pliers are super useful as long as you don’t go crazy with the power grip. The scissors are perfect for those small jobs threads, cord, fishing line, etc.. Mike keychain will never go without one.

Amazing quality.
I have the Gerber center drive multi tool I’ve used & abused for 3 years with zero issues so I bought this Gerber Dime multitool for my girlfriend. The dime is just as good quality as my $150+ Gerber center drive multi tool. The pliers seem to grip good. The knife and all other tools work as expected. Perfect EDC size for women.

Great little knife
I carried a Leatherman Squirt for almost 20 years and used it almost every day. I returned it once on its lifetime warranty. I received a new one and a few years later the spring in the sissors broke. I thought what the heck I'll use the warranty again. This time they had discontinued the squirt. The sent me a new knife but it had sissors instead of pliers. This was a deal breaker. I looked around and found this Gerber dime and so far I like it better than the Leatherman. The box opener blade is awesome. I highly recommend buying this knife. I'm thinking about buying several for Christmas gifts.

Excellent Quality!
Do not listen to the negative reviews. They are from people who Baton logs with a 3 inch folding and call the knife garbage when it brakes. This is my first Gerber multi tool. I have expensive full sized leathermans, but wanted a small pocket carry for small every day tasks. This is the perfect key chain sized multi tool that will not do everything, but will do enough. The scissors are very good; not as nice as the small Swiss army scissors, but a close second. Drivers are of good quality. The spring loaded pliers are very nice and bite down nicely. This is a quality tool, made very well.

Not red, not well thought out, and not well put together.
I purchased this and have been carrying it for just a few days shy of two months. I do a lot of work, and I do a lot of small repairs around my building as I find it. I was hoping to lessen the weight I have to carry around while still maintaining the ability to do a quick repair on the fly. First, as they came out of the package, the color. These are not red, but are somewhere around burgundy to maroon depending on the light. The photo attached is about as color correct as I can get. Second, the pliers. I have tried using these repeatedly. Opened, they are the size of a pair of mini pliers, and that is what I was looking for. The problem is that they are just about useless. Every single task I have tried to use them for has ended up with me going for a different set of pliers. The cut profile of the nose means they don't go into anything for a needle nose, but they also won't grip anything with a small edge, or anything at all that requires the tip as there is no grip cut into it and the tip edge is ever so slightly rounded. The pivot also has dings where the factory had to adjust it... But the pliers still feel slightly loose. As for the rest of the cut profile, the pipe grip as well as the rest of the grip simply... will not grip anything. I have slipped off everything I have tried to hold on to, and given myself a nice hematoma. Not very safe. The cutters sometimes work, but the ever so slightly loose play in them makes them fail to cut very small wires, fiber, or anything that isn't fairly rigid. The rest. They are smaller than I expected. The pliers section is larger than I expected, larger in proportion than a full size multitool, but the handles are smaller. The knife and file feel even smaller because of how relatively wide the handle is versus how short the tools are. The file part of the file is not even as wide as my thumbnail, and has very, VERY little actual cut grip. Without a significant amount of pressure, you just glide over the file cuts. With the fingernail opener cut into the outside part of the file, the only useful file is the inner one that is shrouded by the handle. They could have put the file on the package opener and been miles ahead. The knife is sharp, but with how small it is and how very close it is to the handle, which in relative width is very wide, it's usefulness is very, very limited. The good parts are the package opener, the scissors, the flathead and the 2D Phillips. So far all of these have functioned well and within their normal expected abilities. The Phillips won't do much for partially stripped screws, but that wasn't really expected of it. The bottle opener and the tweezers didn't work. The bottle opener kept slipping off and the tweezers, although angled, were rounded off like the pliers are and were springy. I reshaoed the profile of the tweezers and then hardened the tips and they work well. The bottle opener where it tucks under the crown cap was angled away and kept releasing. I had a machinist friend put a very small groove just past the angle and it too works well. Overall I have been extremely disappointed in this. It doesn't feel very durable, it is difficult to use and it has very limited abilities. At the price point, were I to buy new, I would prefer the classic SD or whatever they call it from the swiss army people. The small one with a file, knife and scissors. I am going to re-profile the pliers, see if I can get some decent grip grooves cut in them and hope I can get some use out of them. Otherwise I am switching back to the much larger multitools that actually have some versatile uses, rather than this that is so incredibly limited.

A postmortem
I bought my dime a year ago at least. Maybe more. It served me well. It's small enough to carry constantly but it came in handy nearly every day. The tweezers and blade will take care of splinters. The box opener works well. The file is nearly useless. The scissors too, although between the two I was able to trim and file my nails with effort. I have tightened many a screw with the flat Phillips and slotted bits. The can opener will pop open a paint can. The little pliers were what I used most - I have weakness and dexterity issues I my hands from carpal tunnel surgery and they made a lot of small tasks easier. As you can see from the patina i used this little tool a lot. Today it finally gave out. As others say, you have to be careful not to put torque on the pliers. I was trying to twist an Allen key with them to adjust a truss rod and I twisted the pliers the wrong way. They're thin, and the steel finally cracked on me. Rest in pieces little buddy. You'll be missed. I decided to upgrade to a tool with heftier pliers since that was the failure point, but this little multitool is great as a very light duty utility tool. Get it if you want something lightweight that fits in a crowded pocket.

good. get it on sale <$30. avoid 3rd psrt sellers.
good quality tool. small size, but has good functionality. 8yr old loves it. wait for sale to get it at or under $30 (seen it as low as $26) but be warned to avoid 3rd part sellers who may list it cheaper.

Ottimo!

Me sert à ouvrir, visser, tirer, couper rapidement. Attention toute fois, la pince est là en appoint mais ne résistera pas à une trop forte pression. Point faible : la garantie à vie vendu par le contructeur, ne s'applique que pour les achats aux US Dommage
