Strong clamping jaws
A good at holding small pieces of glass while grinding them. The jaws are a little off center, but that doesn’t affect the strength of the clamp. It just looks like it may fall apart, but hasn’t yet thank goodness.

Extremely helpful for grinding stained glass!
The Grinder Mate is my stained glass grinding MVP! It is easy to use & works well.- It holds the glass securely. I have never had any issues with slippage.- It holds the glass level. - It does hold the glass higher than if you are grinding without it, but what I really like about that is it utilizes a different area of my grinder bit which makes it a quicker grind. I use the Glastar Superstar II grinder so I'm not sure how it fares with bits on other grinders.- Like other reviewers, I also ended up cutting off the plastic nubs at the bottom. It just seemed to get in the way. That said, it was easy to remove with an X-Acto knife.I love this tool!

Not exactly what I expected
Wasn't what I expected, it sits up off the table so you have to grind up high on the grinder bit while grinding, The bottom of the tool is thicker than I thought it would be, plenty sturdy just wasn't quite what I thought it would be, some might find it useful I will keep it because I may find some use for it
