Learning to pretend.
Got this for my son who is about a year old. So far he likes to put the logs together and carry the lantern around. He even puts it on the table next to his camp chair. He also likes to put the pieces in the duffel bag, which is very handy and great for storing the set altogether! Updated: At just over 3, my son still loves this toy and plays with it regularly. He has bitten the food while teething or just pretending to eat and it still looks new. The bag is in great shape still and the velcro stitching has held up also, which isn't always common with little kid toys. Still loving the quality of learning resources products!

Pricy but cute and worthwhile
My three-year-old daughter is always playing "camping" in our living room, and this set made her day! I love that you can roast the marshmallow or the hot dog; each fits on the roasting stick. The flame was somewhat difficult to get into the log. It's fun that the logs come apart so you can build the fire each time. The lantern does not light up or use batteries, but does glow in the dark. It would be nice if the set also came with a hot dog bun and an extra marshmallow, but oh, well. Still fun and worth it!

Great toy set!
I got this for my son when he was one... He's now 4 and still loves this adorable set! We have so much fun pretending that we're camping. It's been fun to see it grow with him and the different ways he's played with it. After all this time it's still one of his few favorites. I can't say enough good about the set as a parent either - nice sized pieces that have been good for each age, durable, the storage bag is nice. Love it!

Nice toys for imaginative play
Bought this as a gift for my nephew. Learning Resources is a good brand that offers a wide variety of toys and since our families enjoy camping together we thought this would be a great gift for him to play pretend at home. The set is nice, but has a few aspects I think that could be improved upon. The lantern isn't that great and could be brighter. The flames of the campfire feel a bit small, especially when holding the giant marshmallow or the hotdog next to it. Overall it's a cute set and has a nice little bag to store things away when not in use.

My kids love indoor camping with this set
This is an awesome toy for a camper who wants to inspire a love of camping in their children. It comes with two logs, a flame, a marshmallow roaster, a hot dog, a marshmallow, two graham crackers, a piece of chocolate, a lantern, and a green duffel. My almost 3yo twins love sitting around their campfire roasting hot dogs and making "marshmallow burgers" (s'mores, apparently) and crawling into their pop up tent with the lantern. The lantern has a glow-in-the-dark component but does not actually have a light. The pieces can be challenging to all fit into the included duffel. I've found that if you put the logs in crossed instead of side by side, they leave enough room for the lantern, and the rest of the stuff will fit on top. It's counterintuitive but all the stuff DOES fit.

More fun than you would think!
I bought this cute camp set last year for my 7-yo granddaughter and 3-yo grandson. I thought they might think it was dumb and babyish, but they loved it! A year later and it is still one of their favorite toys. They really use their imaginations with it. One will hide the plastic logs and have the other one search for and collect the firewood and build the fire. They use the little lantern to go on nature walks through the house and yard. We all sit around the "campfire" and take turns roasting our hotdog and making s'mores and telling spooky stories. :-) Some people have said that the pieces do not fit neatly into the carrying bag that comes with it. I certainly couldn't get them to fit. But then I watched my granddaughter fit in every piece and close it tight. Amazing! See the attached video.

LOVE IT!!!
LOVE IT!!! I bought this set because my 5-year-old son loves to pretend that he is camping. (We were total suckers and bought him a small tent for his birthday, to be used indoors, and he informed us that he "can't camp without a fire.") The set is absolutely wonderful! The fork will fit either the hot dog or the marshmallow, so he can "cook" either on the "open flame." The flame can be removed from the logs to give the campsite an "extinguished" affect. Similarly, the logs come apart, so he can "gather the firewood" in preparation for the campfire. All items are made of soft plastic and are easily washable. The set comes with a bag (approx. 10", made of canvas), and everything easily fits inside. The logs are about 6" long and nothing in the set is larger than that. All in all, I would ABSOLUTELY buy another product in this line!

My daughter is 2 1/2 and when she opened this gift at christmas is quickly became one of her favorite! She stopped opening presents and insisted we have a campout in her room before we continued our Christmas festivities. It is such a simple toy but she has already spent hours playing with it! She loves the little duffel bag that came with the campfire set and carries it around all the time. The marshmallow and the hot dog both fit on the roasting fork and for a $12 toy it is decently sturdy and has held its shape without getting squished (even when stepped on in the dark!) It's nothing fancy but she loves it and I love the imaginative play it has encouraged! Definitely recommend!

Good product. My 2 year old enjoys playing with it. The plastic isn't the typical hard scratchy plastic. It had some texture and is a little soft. Perfect for camping indoors or in the yard during this time of social distancing. Now my kid wants to go camping for real!

This was much better than I thought it would be. My 3 year old loves it. Good size, easy for little hands to put together and everything stores away in the bag it came with.
