However, I have had a pair of Asics previously and thought as long as I could find shoes for over pronators (my running style based on having flat feet) and a size 13 Wide, I might be okay. Well, one thing for sure is I can never find 13 Wide shoes at the store so, I settle on 13s (14s are too big) and loosen the laces. Fortunately, online Asics had 13 Wide shoes, so I bought them. However, Asics cancelled my initial order because they were not in stock. I thought I might give Asics another try and I found a pair that I liked more than the previous purchase and I received it in a timely manner. I love these shoes, they are comfortable, look good, and I cannot wait to get up in the morning and put them on to go running. I highly recommend these shoes for over pronators. Review: Feels Great - I generally do not spend what the price of this pair of running shoes is advertised at. BUT, I have a size 14 flat-foot and my ankles have my feet rolling inward. This was supposed to provide good support and be specific to the way my feet roll in. The minute I put them on and took a few steps, I was sold. They fit perfect. The support is very good. They are indeed comfortable. I wear steel-toed work boots at work which are heavy and tire my feet. These running shoes are a joy compared to them. I do a lot of walking as most of us do when going out to shop or to assorted events. These running shoes don't tire my feet out and I can get in a lot of walking. Thanks!** A: I consistently wear the Kayano in a US women's 8.5 or a US men's size 7. That would lead me to think a women's 9 would be a men's 7.5. I like the men's colors better than the women's colors. Fingers crossed ASCIS has screwed around with the sizes. I hear complains about the width being too narrow as the past models. I have had no problems. Make sure you get free returns. That said I own models 20, 21, 22, 23, 24. So far no problem. I wear what they call standard width. As my shoes get miles I rotate to car, house slippers(plantar problems) to active wear then out to donation box. They do get miles just like a car tire. Shoes do age sitting on the shelf. I don't buy more than a year old model because I don't know how they have been stored. I wear a spenco walker runner insole(red one) for more arch support because of my plantar fasciitis issues. So far i feel good. It has been the best sneakers I've ever own. Good luck. **Q: WHat shoe compares to Kayan 19?** A: I wore that model shoe for years then went to a lighter weight shoe with more cushion. Decided to go back to Kayano and the only difference for me is the shoe foot box may be a touch smaller. I have flat feet and a historical foot injury that still troubles me from time to time. A friend recommended Asics, and at the time I had never heard of the brand. Googled around and saw amazing reviews. Ordered and received. The second I put these shoes on I could feel what I’ve been missing for years. The fit is snug and roomy in all the right places. The arch and heel support is perfectly balanced. My feet can breath free. Highly recommend giving it a try. May not be for everyone (especially our hopefully grateful perfect footed fellow humans), but it certainly is for me.
