This is an official dock!
This is an official dock and it works great. The Wii U comes with the necessary cord for this and it doesn’t say that it is supposed come with it. It holds the system very well. The stand that this comes with holds the console well too. The cord would come out of the console a lot so this helps a lot.

Not necessary, but useful
The charging base is handy for storing the gamepad. I use the other base for Wii Fit U's camera mode.

Awesome dock at a great discount!
