This seems like a great alternative to a pricey, space-grabbing scanner. The images are clear, and it is really easy to use, and there is no need to run any installation on the computer to download your images (JPG or PDF) - just plug in, and use file manager. Just a few tips on set-up and use:1. you will need a needle or one of those spikes you often get with your mobile to push into the holes to set the time, and to format your micro SD card (included). The instructions for setting the time are a bit unclear, but basically you choose the year, month, date etc one at a time and then press the scan button to confirm before it moves on to the next element of the time.2.The USB connection wire (included) is an old-fashioned size on the scanner, so you will probably want to make sure it stays in the carry bag for the scanner (included)3. The scanner has 'arrow guides' on the side for the width of your page. If you are using it pulling towards you, you will be able to see them. If you are scanning 'side-to-side' you may not see them so well - and unless you want a mirror image, you will need to scan from R to L (assuming your hand isn't holding the display end!)4. There is no need to turn it off - it turns itself off after a few seconds of inactivity. Press and hold the scan button for 2 seconds to turn it on again.My only wish is that it could charge itself when plugged in. It takes two AA batteries - remains to be seen how long they last.

I love how it looks and the concept of what it does. I love the style and quality it offers. The scanning ive yet to master. I have a tremor in my hand and im learning how to get past this. Each day i try.......sometimes i get great images, perfect in every way and then ill get one that is a long white line at the top of the page.Im not made for the techno world but try every so often to blend in. Here these scanners are new and so not many of you are offering info. I asked questions and got an answer that helped very much.I thank those who replied.I think the idea of scanning a book or picture not of the computer made me buy this and i know i will prevail.This will not beat me because its only a machine.............FAB...........thanks seller and maker.......perhaps a note to get better translation of your item would be good.Respect Amanda R

. . . when first used, but, since then, I have discovered that it is best to format the SD card using a separate device and not the scanner itself, since it may not operate afterwards. Once you get the hang of it, this is a pretty nifty piece of kit, it is light and ideal for scanning those pages of a book that are difficult to capture using your fixed scanner. I have a feeling this will prove useful for scanning and uploading images to Twitter.
