I was looking for a good know to carry around with me when I do my outside work. I'm a knife guy but I'm not spending a lot of money for a knife that I may be cutting a root in dirt, but I don't want cheap either. This works fine. It's great shape, nice wooden handle, I can put a good sharp edge on it, and it keeps the edge after I abuse it. The price was good too. It lock to I'm not closing it up on my hand either. I would recommend this.

It's a locking blade. Sharp enough but could be sharper. It feels well made. I'm impressed. It's larger than the image, which is a plus actually.

Nice inexpensive garden tool.

When folded the blade sticks out a bit more than I've found with other pruning knives. However, the blade remains secure and won't retract accidentally while in use. It's fairly sharp, but struggles on 3/4 inch stems. It works on 1" sunflower stalks, but it for some reason requires a little more effort with this particular knife. It'll do for now, but it won't be my main squeeze.

Offer great value. The sharpness is nothing to complain about. I do think the complaints of it not being that sharp is just somewhat right. I simply took my Smiths tool sharpener and ran the knife through it about 8 times and it was absolutely as sharp as any knife could be. It is easy to hold and use. I like the fact the blade locks which makes it safe. It fits easily into my pocket and is the perfect size for a grafting knife or for opening up packages. I purchased two and they are a lot of bang for the buck. I do think I will have these for a long time.

2016: A good all-around pruning or box cutting blade. Folds, but locks open, a plus. A little stiff to unlock and close, but not a major issue. I carefully sharpened the blade to a steeper (sharper) angle than is typical for a garden blade and it has held up well enough. I appreciate the wood handle aesthetics; the edges of some parts are a little blockier than one would want for a display or presentation piece -- but it is a good solid working knife. EDIT 2024: all the above continues to be true, although over the years, the stiffness of the blade locking eases a little. I have bought a total of about 10 of these over the years, either as gifts for gardeners or to put in various working spaces. Still remains an excellent tool. Like it so well, I have one or two still in boxes in case I need one more. I want to give one to somebody.

Esta navaja me ha resultado útil para hacer ciertas labores de jardinería, como quitar espinas de las ramas de ciertos arbustos, o podar árboles. Esa labor la podría hacer con unas tijeras de poda, pero el trabajo sería más laborioso. La navaja viene bien afilada, y se mantiene firme una vez abierta. Por su peso, es conveniente utilizarla con una correa atada a la muñeca, porque si cae abierta sobre un pie puede causar heridas.
