Where's the Pasta Spoon/Fork?
Great length. Feels sturdy in your hand. Fine in the dishwasher. All around a great item and I would buy again*. It looks great and feels good to the touch. It cleans up well.If you're just looking for a Zester/Grater and don't care if it matches anything else, this is a good buy.But what I want is a FULL set that matches. After buying spoons, tongs, zester and spatulas (at a hefty total price), I forgot about (and didn't think to look for) the Pasta Spoon. Doesn't look like they have one... Had to buy one that looks 'close' from a competitor. So now I have a BEAUTIFUL DI ORO set, with the 'odd man out' pasta spoon. Kinda ruins the look. I guess the pasta spoon goes in the drawer for now?Had I known earlier, I might have bought from a brand that has everything, so I don't have to hide something.

SHREDDER!!!!
With careful use and storage this will be the greatest thing since...shredded cheese. It is extremely sharp (as in you will shave your fingers if you aren't practicing careful cutlery). This is a positive because it means very easy work and finely shredded cheese. Make sure you keep the cover and use it when in storage to avoid and drawer accidents.I've heard some people complain that they cut themselves on it. It's true. I've don it too, but it comes down to careful use. Don't blame the tool for improper use. If you hold the grater and your shreddable material carefully (as in don't try and get the very last bits) then you'll have a great experience. The handle is well shaped and easy to grip and the frame of the shredder is strong and durable plus has a rest for shredding downwards. A very well designed shredder. We have washed it in the dishwasher numerous times and it's always held up very well. We've been through several shredders but this one is definitely the best. Highly recommend this product.

Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a grater
Note: I received a discount for this product as quid pro quo to leave a review. However, I would recommend and pay full price if I were shopping for a grater. We used the grater on cheddar cheese, carrots, and a block of hard Parmesan cheese. The result was equally satisfying each time, as the grater blades are EXTREMELY sharp and effective. The construction is very solid and puts previous graters that we've used to shame. Normally we would use a chef's knife or similar to cut the Parmesan from the block and then cut it down to grating size for a salad or pasta. With this grater there was no need. Honestly, it was so sharp that we ended up with several times more Parmesan than normal because it simply cut so quick and easy (all small gratings, just lots more that we would've otherwise managed with the knife).I would wholly recommend this grater if your're looking for one. If I ever lose or somehow destroy this one, I know which one I'll be purchasing again.

Super sharp, great size, be careful of holes in cover
*Update: I've noticed that sometimes food will "catch" a little on the teeth instead of just smooth grating. It's sharp, so I suspect it's because of the spacing of the teeth. I've been noticing it a lot with cloves of garlic and slightly dried out lemons.*The grater is super sharp and will do its job very effectively. The little teeth are farther apart and a little bigger than some of the others I've owned, but it seems to do the same great (ha!) job with nutmeg and ginger as well as with bigger things. I was worried because the grater size seems to be larger than a zester, but everything grates down nice and fine. I don't need the little rubber stopper thing at the end since I usually use a bowl, but I can see how some people might like it. The backside is smooth all the way to the end, so no weird nooks for food to get stuck. Also, it comes in a beautiful box that's perfect for wrapping. The one quibble I have is that the protective plastic lid/cover has two large holes in the face. All my other zesters have slide-off covers so when I slid this one off I shaved off just a tiny bit of skin with it. (It's VERY sharp!) The teeth are exposed at the holes so I have to be careful whenever I reach into that drawer. The cap just snaps on and off, so once you're aware you're fine. Still, it would be better if the cover didn't have holes in it. Other than that, I love it!

So THIS is what a grater is like!
I've been using an old beat-up box grater for several years, and it finally bit the dust. I dreaded grating cheese because it took forever and it was difficult to clean. But this sucker is razor sharp (be careful!!!), and grates cheese easily. In fact, I'd suggest the cheese be very cold. This works best with hard cheeses like Parmesan, but I've grated pounds of blocks of cheddar cheese, and even some of the super soft mozzarella. I just can't believe what I've been missing, this thing is the real deal. And it's easy to clean, comes with the plastic storage guard (use it), and has a non-slip rubber stopper so you can push down on the counter without worrying about it moving anywhere. This is as sharp as a mandolin, guys and gals, so please be careful with your fingers!

lovely ribbons of lemon zest!
Impressed. After trying others....this is the one I like for lemon zest. the blade is sharp and creates long ribbons of lemon peel that are very fine and when I baked them into my Madeleines (a delicate French sponge cake cookie) the lemon peel disappeared completely - but had its desired lemony effect on the taste of the cookie. The zest is fluffy and thin and really just the best part of the skin....if you move your lemon around, after each pass on the blade, you will get less of the white part and more of the yellow part of the skin....I am very pleased! Best zester I have owned! I am surprised that I am even excited about a lemon zester...who knew? Anyway, I don't dread that part of cooking/baking anymore.
