Actually Works!! Keeps My Face Dry All Day 😅🙌
I was super skeptical at first, but wow—Carpe really works! I have oily skin and deal with face and forehead sweat, especially in warm weather or when I’m nervous, and this stuff has been a total game changer. It goes on like a lightweight gel-lotion and dries quickly without feeling heavy or sticky. I use it in the morning before makeup, and it keeps my face way more matte throughout the day. The silica microspheres really help absorb the sweat, and the jojoba esters keep my skin from feeling dried out. I’ve even used it on my scalp near my hairline, and it works great there too. Definitely worth it if you’re tired of constantly blotting or feeling shiny all the time!

Didn’t work for my face
So I live in Californians Central Valley where it can get very very hot and stuffy in the summer months. I’ve never been someone who sweats in my face or scalp, but a couple years ago I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism (over active thyroid) and let me tell you this disease has changed my body! I’m always running warm and sweating from areas I never have before! That’s why I’ve been trying and finding new things I can use. I usually do ok with face primers if I’m AC environment, but sometimes at work I have days where I move a lot and organize things or move things around the office. Also I wanted something that would work for if I go out dancing or something. I kept seeing ads for this on instagram and decided to try it. It did not work for me. Not only that, I started sweating from my upper lip as soon as I put it on no matter how cool my place is. It’s very strange how it works the opposite for me. I don’t know if It’s because my skin is trying to shed it out of my pores immediately or what, but it’s so annoying. I usually apply primer and then start my makeup routine just fine. With this thing I apply it and a few seconds later, my face is sweating! If you’re like me with new sweating tendencies and oily skin/large pores, I wouldn’t recommend based on how it worked for me.

Fully incorporate into skin
I liked this product. But I also didn’t. First off, let me start by saying if you think you’ve rubbed it in your face, try again. I thought I made sure that there was no excess product and that it was all soaked in my skin, but when it dried it looked like there was a certain type of bodily fluid on certain areas of my face, if you catch my drift. But it made my skin feel like a baby’s butt. It did help me prevent some sweating, I could feel the sweat on my face, but when I touched my skin there was no sweat at all, or it was very little. Idk how this sorcery works, but it did. I applied 2 layers of this before going out in Texas heat, and made sure it was FULLY incorporated into my skin. And my face was not sweating at all. And if there was any sweat, it was from places where I didn’t really add much to or it was coming from my scalp and not my face. All in all. I really enjoy this product, I would give it a 5star, but hearing from kids that it looked like there was c*m on my face was not a vibe. And that it made me weary about whether my sweat was bad or not.

Worked better than nothing at all! Grateful!
Yesterday I tested it as I went out on a hot day. Usually my short hair is saturated and no style left. Hair would just stick to my head and massive drips down my face and neck. I used the scalp serum in my hair and the face cream around the perimeters of hairline front and back. I still dripped but a lot less. Back of my hair was wet but was able to dry it off with paper towel. Which before it was useless to try and dry off as it made hair much worse and caused anxiety and more sweating. My hair style didn’t suffer from the amount of sweat yesterday. We are in the hottest days of summer and I call that a win especially since it is heat and anxiety caused and I was going to the doctor and anxious. Very few drips compared to a running river of embarrassment. Will continue if it continues to slow the flow of H2O and embarrassing moments in stores or work. Will use as primer today instead of around perimeter only. Yes some white as it dries but I just wiped it off as it dried and no problem. This is a win in my books because the anxiety part was horrendous. And I would leave stores rather than be seen as a walking waterfall.

Keep the shine away
I need more!! This stuff actually works! Gives off a matte finish to oily face due to perspiration or just an oily complexion.

Helps a little but you will still sweat
This product is just okay. It leaves a residue - don’t get it on your eyelids and be sure to wash it off your hands really well. If you get it on your eyelids, your eye makeup may not apply properly. I found that really frustrating since it says you can use it as a makeup primer. I couldn’t figure out what was going on until I made sure to absolutely keep it off my eyelids. Also, if you are sweating quite a bit, this will, in short order, not really help, wherever you may apply any of these Carpe products or anyone else’s sweat-preventing product. Our bodies will stubbornly try to maintain their proper temperature and that involves sweating sometimes - despite our best efforts to hack the bodily functions we dislike! There is really no way around this, unfortunately. In my opinion, this product is too expensive for something that promises too much and can’t really deliver simply because our bodies NEED to sweat and if we can’t perspire effectively in one area, we will perspire MORE in other areas. And eventually, the sweat will break through ANY product wherever you put it. Sorry to break it to people. I hoped this would work, too, as I get really hot and sweaty from hot flashes due to perimenopause and living in a warm area, but that is what I’ve discovered. In the end, don’t spend your money on these types of products that promise too much or at least adjust and lower your expectations. I think a portable fan, a cool drink with lots of ice, appropriate clothing, trying to stay relaxed and exercising some self-acceptance is the best and only real way to control sweating.
