what a ride!
I generally enjoy Bendis writing since way back from his indie publishing day. He alway breathes in fresh take on titles he goes on. From Spider-Man ,daredevil, avengers and X-men his take have impacted to the books and status quo’s. Happy to see that his Superman run has not disappointed me. After reading the first two volumes I’m excited for the installment!!

This is More Like It
I haven’t been much of a fan of Bendis’s work on Action Comics, but his Superman arcs have worked out better. There’s a lot good on here, and we don’t get answers to everything; however, I feel the story (though told a bit out of chronological order) holds my interest throughout. It’s also a plus that DC has a dedicated art team on this book that can actually make the characters look like they’re supposed to.

Epic Story Loaded With Kryptonians
No complaints with the second volume of the Bendis/Reis Superman saga. Larger than life battles, backstory on Jon Kent’s lost years, revelations about Jor-El, amazing guest stars and true changes brought to the Superman universe. I really enjoyed reading this book - in fact once I finished I read it a second time.Highly recommended.

Superman and Lois CW
I'm wondering with volume one and volume two are going to be the the main storyline for the upcoming Superman series on the CW. You know the Superman lowest series are there taking these books and going to make the series out of them or take inspiration from the books and put them into the show because I know they're going to have the kids on the series you know his two boys but they moved back to Smallville but they're not saying anything else so I'm wondering if all you want and volume two are inspirations for the new series

Superman Unity
was apprehensive about a lot of changes that Brian Michael Bendis made to Superman...particularly with Superboy now being turned to a teenager. This book justifies the change and explains while also presenting a compelling cosmic quest that ties into what happened to Krypton, what Jor-el's been up to and brings a bit of a turn for Zod as a character. On top of that, I think Bendis does get a better with writing Lois Lane. The art does feature a lot of big spreads-single page and two page, but I think the cosmic epic nature of the story can justify it.If I had a fault with the story, it's the big solution to the huge problem at the center of the destruction of Krypton is a bit cheesy and unoriginal. This epic probably could have tightened but this isn't one of those Bendis stories that scream, "Padded!" Given that this is a 9-issue story, that says a lot about the book.

Thrilling conclusion to the Unity Saga with a great combination of artists!
The House of El comprises the second and final part of The Unity Saga by Brian Michael Bendis and Ivan Reis. For this hardcover collection an additional penciller is brought in with Brandon Peterson contributing visually stunning work for the flashback sequences covering Jon Kents adventures whilst he was away from Earth as well depicting Jor El back before Krypton was destroyed. This division of artistic duties between the two pencillers was extremely well done, by having each covering different characters and times like that it meant that the change in styles did not distract from the story. The story remains excellent with the snappy dialogue you can expect from Bendis and the quality of the art is as previously discussed is really something! The heart wrenching tale of what happened to Jon Kent has divided fans but I found it interesting and showed how he stayed true to his values in a situation where he only had himself to rely on. The resolution of the Rogol Zaar/Jor El was a particular highlight of this collection pushing things forward in thrilling ways with the introduction of the Legion of Superheroes and the tying up of threads that were first introduced even before DC Rebirth occurred. All in all it is a great story and there is lots and lots of potential for where the story will go in the coming volumes.

A new Superman, well packed.
The product arrived on time and was packed very well. The comic book is fantastic from the colours to the quality of paper and the script. (If you like a Superman told by Brian Michael Bendis, of course).
