respectful informed challenge
I really enjoyed this book. It has a rich collection of taxonomies, a useful description of anatomies, a detailed analysis of the fossil record from earliest times, plenty of alternate viewpoints, and an upfront statement of belief. The organization is a little puzzling, so do NOT skip the appendix if detail matters to you. It is pretty large and contains an excellent survey of evidences.I imagine many will never feel there is enough evidence to change your persuasion, no matter your starting point. It is true that Creationists, especially ICR Creationists like Dr. Morris, begin with what is for many an unprovable presupposition. However, I believe that is honestly the truth for all "thinkers", scientific or otherwise.Excluding Creationism for "science" is ultimately dependent on a self serving tautology. This was a well reasoned and well written book. I have read Creationist literature that was dismissive and rude, but that is not so in this volume. The author is straightforward but respectful, presenting a difficult topic with an appropriate amount of evidence. It is not exhaustive, nor could it be in such a small volume. Creationists (and Evolutionists) have made their mistakes, and I am not sold on all Creationist arguments, but:* Science is NOT a religion. This means science has many definitions since there is no single point of authority. Defining science as consensual observation exposes the vulnerability in both Creationist AND Evolutionary research. This is an honest point many Creationists recognize, and many Evolutionists downplay. Public schools need that humility.* Evolution includes observation (sometimes conveniently defined as Microevolution) and assumption based (sometimes conveniently defined as Macroevolution). These are helpful distinctions and NOT exclusively Creationist. Public schools need that objectivity.I usually read the negative comments, and see little value in generalizing thinkers as foolish, evil trolls, no matter the presupposition. I agree both sides have these trolls. If you strive for something else, this book is a good starting point to challenge your thinking.

Great Read for Old Earth vs Young earth theories
Great read. Very concise and understandable. Clearly shows how the fossil record could be interpreted from a old earth and or young earth view point. Solid and must read for those that want data to refute the old earth or evolutionist proponents. Though taught as fact, it clearly shows that old earth is but THEORY without support.

Which is real science and which is fake?
The blind faith/religion of evolution and historical geology is dead in the water; fake science. They just don't know it yet.

A good book to read on your search for truth.
The book is compelling, well researched and written. In reading, it becomes clear that the fossil record is far from a "slam dunk" confirmation of evolutionary history. A better explanation is that it refutes that history. I recommend this for those who are on a search for the truth on origins.

It is a very well written book that is easy to read
It is a very well written book that is easy to read. It was written by someone who is very knowledgeable on the subject, and makes a very good case for Creation side of the debate on the origins of our planet.

EXCELLENT book!
Once you've read "The Global Flood" (which you should do), read this one.I'm very glad I did, because now I see that the fossil record BETTER supports young earth creation, and can be used to DISPROVE evolution.

good effort
It's good, but a bit too fundy-preachy for me. Although I don't accept Darwinism, I don't accept the biblical accounts of creation either - although I am a Christian creationst. But it was a good book.. a very detailed refutation of Darwinist crap-trap.. just looking for a book on fossil birds and mammals.. anyone recommend any?thanks.
