Watts Backflow Preventer 3/4 In Water Pressure Reducing Valve, Npt Thread Union X Npt Female, Max Work 400 psi, Adjust 25-75 psi

This is an upgraded version of the one it is replacing. It is a heavy duty brass, machined and threaded. It is serviceable and adjustable. Mine holds a nice steady pre-set pressure at 48 psI. I recommend this. I did the install myself. Good choice.

Fit and works great.

Looking at the old valve, it looked like it was larger than 3/4”. My old failed unit tag was very hard to read but I decided to go for the 3/4”. This valve is perfect. There is a union on one end. So you can open the union and then rotate the valve off. Re-assemble it equally as easy. Measured pressure after install was 50 psi.

I didn’t need the union as mine fit the new one so that saved me some soldering. Fit perfectly and had all the o rings and parts, I only needed teflon and a plumbers wrench. So happy to have a working PRV again. Installed in less than 30 minutes (drain time included) and it’s great quality and quiet when in use.

This part fit perfect without modifying the pipe. The only concern was that it only came with one fastening nut. Lucky for me the existing nuts fit so I used them. It fixed my noisy pipes and high water pressure.

This is just what I needed. Perfect fit and works like a charm.

Perfect fit, went right in place of the old leaking one. Just make sure arrow on the valve is going the right way. Would recommend

My house was built in 1996. It was originally installed with a Watts 3/4" N35B (made in USA, discontinued). I replaced it because pressure was leaking through and setting off my water heater TP valve in the mornings. I replaced it with a Watts LFN45B which is available locally at the big box stores. The old one was full metal housing. The LFN45B was a plastic/composite top half. The pipes would be extremely loud first thing in the morning. The dimensions of the LFN55B (the one listed & full metal housing) are the same dimensions as the LFN45B and is also a direct replacement to the N35B. I am positive the internals are of better quality given the higher price point and external uses of materials. My TP valve no longer leaks and my pipes are quiet! I hope this information saves someone some aggravation.

I had an average of 90 psi coming from my water main. This reducer safely brought it down to 60 psi. I like the fact that this reducer is female in both ends, making it easily replaced or serviceable in the future.
