You don't want to weaken that. So if you're looking for these to wedge the cable into the caulk of your windshield, you should find a way to run the cable under the dash trim. Be careful putting pressure on the glass to push the plastic dash trim - you can shatter your windshield. These are stiff plastic, about as stiff as the dash trim plastic. They will mar the dash trim before twisting or deforming the tool. But they are stiff enough to pry the trim away from the plastic rivets/fasteners underneath. Good luck, and use your judgement.
