This stuff is great, but you should know cleanup can be difficult. It's silicone and the viscosity of a thick gel (so not runny) and a little bit really coats and stays slick (unlike water-based lubes). However, those same properties work against you when the fun is done. Clean up requires a solvent (cheap rubbing alcohol and paper towels usually work) and even a little bit gets *everywhere* and can take some work to clean up off of surfaces. That said, it is the slickest and most persistent lube I've used so maybe it fits in your lineup for certain tasks that require slickness and where a little more work on cleanup is tolerable.

I was not expecting to have quite the reactions I did - first off, it's COLD! SO COLD!! That made me start to giggle... plus the spray nozzle produces quite a confident jet. It's SOFT, SMOOTH - does NOT run, drip, or spill... this bottle lasted me like 3 times longer than any other lube because I just don't use as much because it lasts long enough and stays slippery/slick well beyond its required/desired runtime. If you're up for a surprising, invigorating, and incredibly satisfying (like, FINALLY, one that actually does what it says)... then give it a try. ;)

I’ve been using Astroglide X Silicone Gel (3 oz) for a few months, and it’s my go-to lube, though not flawless. It’s smooth, thicker than water-based lubes, and doesn’t get messy—great for avoiding sheet stains. It lasts well, handling an hour-long session without reapplying, and it’s waterproof for shower fun, though cleanup’s a bit tricky. It’s gentle on skin and condom-safe but damaged my silicone toy, which sucked. Solid for most uses, just keep a towel handy and avoid silicone toys.

We purchased this as an experiment. We have used other products form Astroglide before and they have worked well. But this one, not so much. My husband liked it, but I did not. First: It is very very thick. He liked it better because he said the other kind is too slick and ends up everywhere but where you want it. It's true the other is very slick and gets everywhere but, it keeps everything comfortable inside. Second: This one tends to dry out faster and clumps up when dry, causing a lot of discomfort. (Mainly for me and not him.) I think we need something that's in between. Last: It's hard to wash off. It takes forever to get it off your hands and other body parts. Best to just use a towel to wipe down and then wash it off.

Long lasting thick silicone lube. Does what it's supposed to do. Might be a bit too viscous for some, but if you use this as a base and a water soluble lube on top, you get the best of both worlds.

I'm sorry, but I do not know how this Astroglide Silicone Gel Lube got so many positive reviews. Decided to give it a try with some finger play. First, it is not slick and slippery, it is more like petroleum jelly. Yes, it does reduce friction, but in a tacky, sticky way. After a very short play time, I decided it wasn't going to work and went to wash up. It would NOT wash off. I washed my hands ten times with soap and hot water and the lube remained. Yes, the product package states "Waterproof", but this is insane. Something that is made for use on skin may be waterproof, but should wash off when using soap and water. Tried a shower to remove this nasty stuff from body areas. After three showers, the water still beads up on body surfaces. Read the 1 Star and 2 Star reviews for this product and decide for yourself. This is not a one-off review and good luck if you decide to try it anyway.
