Funny Frog Puppet

7/3/2021 update: This guy is awesome. A year later and he's brought out almost every time we see/tall about frogs (so like all the time!) and during our math lessons specifically for some reason I can't even remember, but hey, it works! Older and younger kids all love this guy who have met him, and I'm looking forward to using him during our upcoming Frog and Toad LA lessons! If you're on the fence, get this guy! His fat little back is also perfectly adorable and squeezeable ❤️ Purchased this to go with a lifecycle unit study for 2 preschoolers I homeschool, and fun in general because we love puppets and I can see this getting a lot of love. I love Folkmanis puppets in general and everyone we meet is always impressed with the various ones we have, this one definitely lives up to their high quality and durability. The only disappointment in this was size - much smaller than expected for price/compared to other reviewer photos. I have very large adult hands though, and can easily use this puppet. I know my almost five year old son and his friend will be able to use this easily too, so bonus points! He's cute enough I'm thinking he'll be our school mascot for the year!

Very cute puppet, just be aware that you can’t fit your whole hand in the mouth as it’s small, and that limit limits the mouth movement a bit. Still super cute.

My son loves this frog puppet. It very well made. The quality of this puppet is true to the pictures. It is a very good value. It functions like a real frog and is so cute. The fabric is smooth and the has a lot of detail. It is true to size and color.

I have purchased many hand puppets for my children and now my grandchildren, over the years. Rarely has one been so "charismatic" as this one. It comes alive with a gentle face and a smile. To be clear, I bought this puppet for me - to entertain several grandchildren. While toddlers love it, they are too young to operate it. It can also be used online such as with Skype. This puppet allows one to move each arm, the lower jaw, and the head. Once you have found the right placement, you can move its lower jaw to talk to your child while holding or taking things in its arms. My 2 yo grandson kept talking to it, sharing toys and hugging it. My 1 year old granddaughter would not play our gentle head bumping game with me, but would happily do so with this frog. They know my hand makes it work, but small children suspend disbelief seamlessly. It appears well-designed and well-made like other Folkmanis puppets I have bought. Highly recommend.

This is so cute and really good quality for storytime. It has a lot of personality!

We needed a swamp critter for a daily Bible School sketch. We named this little guy Hopper. He was the highlight of VBS! (We used Cookie Crisp cereal as "cricket cookies" in the photo.) The kids all loved him, and even the adults looked forward to seeing him. My nephew loved that we brought him home. He loves playing with Hopper and gives it hugs! It's a great size: not too big that it doesn't still seem believable as a frog, but not too small for a hand. I have pretty big hands, but had no problem fitting. The craftsmanship is fantastic. One leg is a little crooked, but it doesn't make much difference. It's made of beautiful fabric. The upper arms and mouth can be controlled. I put my thumb and pinky in the arms and my middle three fingers in the lower part of the mouth. You can put fingers in the head, but it's easier to only control the bottom part. I love that it's the complete animal, so it can be played with even when not being used as a puppet.

The cutest thing ever. Well made. Just fabulous.
