Ounces matter
Need to weigh up to 12 ounces max. Most scales are in pounds making it difficult to be accurate. This is in ounces and this makes it easier to ready. Also having the attached flat top was important for setting something small or medium in diameter on it. Digital scales are not always practical as you have to turn it on and tare it each time. No so with a mechanical scale.

Do not waste your time and money. I bought 4 units. All unit are not working at all.

This scale is impossible to calibrate and after 3 days of calibrating it’s not accurate then your back to 3 days of calibration. Needless to say, it’s being returned!

was super hard to find to find an analog scale with a 1lb max. This fit the bill perfectly and is very accurate.

How do you use a scale that cannot reset the dial to zero?
No matter how many times we tried to align the dial with zero for a weight measurement, after each use the dial would go to 15 or 14oz, never being able to recover at zero. And that was brand new out of the box!
