2 Person Glider in Natural -

I read the reviews after I had already purchased the item by the description and the picture. It was to late to cancel it and returning large items can be a hassle. My first thought after opening it was "cheep" and my next thought was that this item should not be sold and the seller should stop selling them. I have another glide bench on my front porch, it cost a lot more money, but you get what you paid for. As a veteran of putting together furniture for over 30 years, I found this quite challenging. Definitely lay out all the parts and identify them first. The holes that were drilled for anchors to be placed and then a bolt inserted was maddening. The holes were too big and the anchor kept falling out. It took me over an hour and I was glad when I was finished. After completion, it doesn't look too bad and it glides easily. There is a 400 lb. weight limit, but I wouldn't trust that at all. It definitely sits only two, and will make some noises at times. I bought a cover for it. Since it is a cheaper wood and stain, I would not trust it to last long in the elements. This bench is fine for small elderly couples, or small younger couples. Maybe as a decoration or limited use. My advice would be to avoid this at all cost, spend a little more money and get a better one.

You cannot beat the price for the product, I know. I searched every web site every store every possible resource I could and this was the best price I could find. However, the instructions for this produt are less than desirable. Very hard to follow and then there was a mishap putting on one of the arms that concluded with wood glue being applied to reattach some of the wood. :( Oh well all in all this is a good product for the price as long as you can visualize your product being put together without written instruction.

This bench is nice once you struggle with getting it together. The "instructions for assembly" consist of a single sheet with a very small exploded diagram of how things are supposed to go together. On top of that, the pieces do not fit properly. I had to use clamps (thankfully I had some) to hold things while I put the screws in. One bolt thread stripped out and a trip to HD was required to complete the assembly. It took about 3 hours, which is way longer than it should have taken and I have had a wealth of experience assembling similar products as well as making them from scratch.I would not have purchased this item had I known the aggravation that assembly would be.

This glider was packed well and recieved with no missing parts. The assembly instructions were very difficult to follow and could be improved but the bench itself was fairly easy to assemble. The thickness (weight) of the wood seat and back, could be more substantial for heavier adults. The price was reasonable but will not know how well it holds up, since it was only just put together. The finish on the wood needs a sealer for weather protection and better appearance. I would rate this glider a 7 on a 1-10 scale.

On installing the item, we found some damage to the unit and were missing a few parts. When asking for the parts to be sent to us, we were given the option of a discount or a full return of the product. Considering the substantial time to this together (worth far more than the cost of the unit), this seems unacceptable to me. The company should revise it's spare parts policy and send out the correct parts when there is a problem. They are putting the onus of fixing their failings completely on the buyer.

The bench went together well but one of the metal struts for the glider broke apart. A carpenter friend said that they are just spot welded and it didn't hold. Fortunately, he drilled small holes and used screws to reattach the broken part. Hopefully I won't see this happen with the other struts.

Really like the glider. Shipped and delivered about 3 days early, which I was very happy with. All hardware with allen wrenches were in instructions. The only bad thing I can say, is that the picture diagram on how to put it together could have been bigger, was a little hard to decipher if the C's and G's were the same. Also, I put it together in about 2 hours by myself. Definitely would help if you had an extra set of hands.

The pieces of the glider seemed good when I opened the box. It was really difficult to follow the directions for assembly and after it was finally put together, I noticed the slats in the seat had not been properly seated in the frame at the factory. If anyone were to sit on it the slats would fall through. I had to individually splint each slat at one end. I would not buy this again.
