PATPET Dog Shock Collar with Remote Dog Training Collar with Remote (Grey, 1 Collar)

This thing lasted me going 3 years but after 2 it runs the batteries dry after 12 hours so I do need to get a new one. Other wise those works so well. Also water proof because he has worn it in the rain

This product is Very effective in helping to train dogs. We hate to use the electric shocker, but our new dog (not a puppy) is Very Stubborn and required this extreme training method. Btw, we hired a Professional trainer who doesn't believe in using shocker or other Negative methods. After 6 weeks, she felt our dog was a teenager and didn't respond to training (hmmmmm... ??). Our dog is very smart and took only a few times with the shocker ... and she learned very quickly to stop bad behavior. It also has Vibration and Tone modes for less critical training and they work as well. Over time, our dog has become very well mannered (in most respects), and the Electric shocker is no longer needed.

The item is not water proof. It might be resistant though in light rain. This should be used with caution, and in conjunction with real training methods for reinforcement and to get attention of a stubborn animal. NOT as the only way to manage behavior - it does not fix behavoir it geabs the animals attention so you can train. It does work, but should be used with caution and only temporarily to get through a training barrier.

I have a long hair mini doxie that has been barking non stop, chewing things up, running off, and about every other rebel thing you can think of. We have used similar products before on our bigger pit bulls, but I didnt want to put something on such a small dog. So I opted to try to find something less powerful for a small dog and this was perfect. The instructions made it easy to put together. The strap adjusted very small and I just snipped the extra fabric off and melted the fibers to make it not fray. Hes a longer coat so I used the longer prongs, and I can feel with my finger the shock option is working, but my dog either doesnt respond to it, or doesnt get a good connection becuase of his long hair. But the vibration mode works PERFECT for my dog. He starts barking in his kennel, one vibration, he stops. He tries to get the kids pizza, vibration, he stops. He tries to run out the door, vibration, he stops. This thing is a life saver!!

I got this for my dog when she was a puppy to train her to stay in my yard but I wanted her to also stay out of gardens and other parts of my yard, this thing lasted 6 months and it broke. The plastic part where the collar loops through to hold the box on broke off making it useless, and it sucks the life out of batteries. I went through a 24 pack in a month. Find a better brand.

This item is pretty good, I’ve got a dog who used to run off, (dangerous coyotes, moving cars ) this would call her back when she’d take off on me and it worked great in that regard esp for the price. This is the 3rd time I’m buying jt because she somehow was able to get the collar off and for the second time , the collar isn’t responding ! So I have no idea where it is! If only it would work every time when needed I’d give it a 5 star rating Only reason why I’m buying this again is because the remotes are compatible and you could reuse them so like I have two remotes, maybe one day the collar will show up. Seems like when I really needed to work. It doesn’t work. It just needs to be reset or reprogram at most inopportune time !

This is exactly what i was needing. I love that it has a “zap” button and a vibrate button. So if you don’t want to use the a “zap” you dont have to. It’s really light weight and doesn’t seem to bother him much at all. I like that it comes with a remote with a small display screen showing you what level its on and 2 buttons “zap” and vibrate. And the battery life on this thing is absolutely amazing! We had it for monthsssss before needing to replace batteries! I was needing something to get his attention and make him listen and stop the running wild when he goes outside. This allows me to set boundaries wherever we are. And that i can use the vibrate only button and just use the “zap” if and when necessary. Honestly 9/10 times i only have to vibrate him. It’s great

I really like that I can use this collar without having to put on the shock attachment! My dog responds well to the bell and vibration. If my finger would slip down over the bar to the shock button I don’t have to worry as I chose not to attach the prongs and it won’t work! If you want to use the shock, you have the choice of 2 different prongs, depending upon your dog’s coat.

This is a great training device, but if your dog is wearing the collar, don’t forget if you’ve put the controller in your pocket. I accidentally leaned against it and shocked my dog by mistake. So now I only turn on the controller when I need to use it. It powers up quickly. It acts as a great calming device for my hyper dog. All I have to do it beep it to get his attention. That mistake zap has left a permanent impression.

I think possibly because of my dogs thicker fur, that this collar didn't really work. I did tey it on the vibrate setting though and my dog really dod not like the vibrate and it caused him to wine/bark.. so not suoer helpful in my case haha

Remote and collar both use micro USB charging cord. The cord shipped only has one charging lead thus you cannot charge both at the same time out the gate, but the remote does hold a charge longer than the collar so not critical I guess. The sound function works well & the vibrate function works well for my Australian Shepard breed. Shock is the reason for the two star rating. It is not existent, does not even get my dogs attention even on 100% strength. My Aussie is 7-months old now and is a very quick study, but when she gets after the cat and turns her ears off... the shock function not working is a frustrating deal breaker for this product. Range of remote I cannot comment on as COVID-19 has us stuck to our back yard only.

This thing has been excellent. Gets the dogs attention even before you have to zap him... A great way to correct your pet. Love it. I would buy this again. Seller was excellent to deal with!
