OxiClean Washing Machine Cleaner with Odor Blasters, 4 Count

If you have a stinky washing machine and/or if you feel like your clothes aren't smelling fresh after they're washed, buy this product because it fixes that. Some comments re: the folks giving this a low rating because: 1) The product clumps in your HE washer's liquid detergent dispenser - Well, per Step 2 on the package (see my photo), this is a powder cleaner that is supposed to be dumped directly into the drum. Don't worry about it falling into the little holes. It's gonna be okay; it's gonna do what it was designed to do. If you put it in your HE washer's liquid dispenser, you didn't follow the instructions, & it's gonna clump up and not work as advertised. 2) The product's odor - well, the drain pipe on my HE washer smelled like raw sewage (wife's words) when I started a wash cycle. I thought a "washer cleaner" was a little silly (aren't I cleaning it every time I run a load of wash?), but I have seen the light. After several years of use and literally hundreds (if not 1000+) of washes, the drain pipe smelled like rotten eggs and my wife wanted to call a plumber because the smell was so bad she thought our house's drain was backed up. I do the laundry in the house, and I'm cheap, so I thought I'd try a cleaner first, and this OxiClean cleaner resolved the odor AFTER ONE TREATMENT. I use dye- and odor-free detergent, so I'm not a total fan of its fragrance (side note: do y'all who use detergent with scents actually LIKE smelling like Gain or Tide all day, like it's some sort of cologne/perfume? This confuses and fascinates me, but I digress...), but it goes away after a wash or two. My washer no longer smells like sewage, and we didn't have to hire a plumber, so I'm grateful for an inexpensive and effective fix. My washer stopped smelling like American politics after I used this product. In fact, it went to having no odor at all, which is what I wanted. I followed the instructions and used it once/week for 3 weeks just to ensure I truly got all of the stank out, and I believe I have, so I'm thrilled. Not sure a once/month cleaning is necessary, since I went years without cleaning my washer, and because I'm cheap, but I think I'll probably use this seasonly/quarterly to prevent "THE SMELL" from returning to home. If you finish reading this review and still put this powder cleaner in your liquid dispenser, you should run for office because you'll likely win... but I won't vote for ya.

This machine cleaner really works! Takes the mildew smell out of my washer with one wash. I’ve tried others and this is the only one that has actually worked so far. Also easy to use and priced right.

The smell is sooooo goood. My machine seems very clean after I use this. No hair put I don’t know if this dissolves the hair but my tub is sparkling. I have a top load with a stainless tube. I have cats and dogs so this is great to use before I wash my clothes.

I bought this because I kept noticing a weird damp smell in the laundry room even though we run the washer pretty regularly. Figured it was worth trying before calling someone to look at it. The 4-count box is enough to see if it actually works without committing to a giant supply. Used the first pouch last week and yeah, it definitely helped. The smell is gone and the drum looks cleaner when I peek inside. I can see why people say to do it monthly, stuff builds up even when you think you're keeping things clean. I set a reminder on my phone because I know I'll forget otherwise. One thing: the scent while it's running is pretty strong. Not bad, just noticeable. Goes away after though, so it doesn't transfer to clothes or anything. I run it when no one's home just because the smell fills the laundry room while it's working. Only downside is remembering to actually do the maintenance. It's one more thing on the list, but I guess that's true of anything you're supposed to do monthly. The washer seems to be running better now that it's cleaner, so I'll probably keep doing it. Just wish the box had more than 4 so I didn't have to reorder as often.

Been using these packets now for over a year. Simply follow the instructions, pour in the correct dispenser, set the right temperature and walk away. A quick washcloth later and our machine smells fresh and looks clean. Since this is routine maintenance, this will not be a catch-all miracle cure. However, to keep our older washing machine running so that odors do not transfer we trust this product

I purchased this because my washing machine was starting to leave my clothing with a slightly musty odor. The OxiClean cleaner was very easy to use—just add one pouch directly to the drum and run the cleaning cycle. And only after one cycle, my next load of clothing was odor free! I like that the product is designed to remove odor-causing residue rather than simply mask the smell. The individual pouches are also convenient since there’s no measuring involved. The 4-count package makes it easy to keep extras on hand for regular washer maintenance. Overall, I’m very happy with how simple and effective this is and will definitely keep using it.

I believe this product is not useful! it has damaged my washing machine, leaving white marks.

Once I have used it that so far it cleans well specially many pet hair and mine!!! Very satisfied and no any residue at all.
