Worked Just Fine, But Don't Use Guitar Pick
As the title says, installation was fine. Just keep track of the screws and watch an iFixit teardown guide. Due to the extremely strong adhesive Nintendo uses to attach the battery, the guitar pick pry tool is worthless. I used an old gift card on the side closest to the connector, shoving it in with some force, and lifted it out. Don't puncture the battery or try to use any tool that might. Battery life is about 2.5 hours in Animal Crossing at maximum brightness, which is as expected for a launch model switch. As an aside, if you experience high temps or loud fans, consider replacing the thermal paste with Thermalright/Arctic paste or Honeywell PTM-7950 (Linus sells it if you want to guarantee it is real). Replacement fans can be had for cheap on Ali Express.

World good for replacement Nintendo switch battery
Stripped my screws... drilled out and got to it! Battery was lifted off with tool (glue wasn't loosened I don't have a heat gun). Worked immediately and is charging. Original battery wasn't charging and device was dead. The quality is good for the price. Replacement was easy with instructions.

Great so far
Other reviewer is wrong where he says: "3.7 Volts - Factory original is 4.2 V", at least for my switch version. As you can see from the photo, the OEM battery is 3.7 volts just like this replacement. So far okay. Replaced the bad OEM battery with this one. Only time will tell how good the battery keeps a charge after so many recharge and usages. The hardest thing by far was getting the original battery out. They used a ridiculous amount of double sided tape to secure the battery. Really overkill.Luckily I found a video on YT "Nintendo Switch Battery Replacement - tutorial" that showed how to drop some isopropyl alcohol around the edges of the battery pan and let it sit for a while. This works well, it will indeed soften the adhesive. Just let it sit for maybe 5 minutes or more. Then pry around the edges with the pick tool. Also putting alcohol on the top of the old battery, I was able to remove a lot of the original foam tap at the top and put it on the replacement battery to give it close to the original snugness.Oh also be careful of the included replacement double tape. carefully remove the one side of the tape then put it on the back of the battery. If you press to hard before removing both backings it will stick to the backing plastic hard. Finally, people should read on how to take care of lithium batteries. Don't leave them completely discharged for long periods, etc.

Please do not buy this item!!
After reading the reviews and the ratings and making sure it is the correct one I chose this battery to replace the one in my original switch. The directions left alot to be desired in detail, and the reassembly instructions are non existent. The first battery I received would not take a charge or power on my switch. So I requested a replacement, the second one will take a charge and power my switch but when I tried it undocked last night it lasted less than 10 minutes. As I said in the title DO NOT PURCHASE THIS BATTERY.

Works great
I replaced the battery in my modded Nintendo Switch with this around a year ago after I killed my last battery from excessive overclocking, and I haven't had any problems with this

Worked as expected
My son and I were able to swap out the battery on his switch after watching a quick video on the process. The included instructions for the battery were missing a few key details, but nothing you couldn't figure out without a bit of guessing. There was this mystery piece of plastic with double-sided tape or adhesion material but the shape didn't seem to match anything on the battery or bottom compartment. I'm sure it had a purpose but we never figured it out.One thing I wish this came with was the replacement foam. The stuff attached to the original battery ripped apart and looked terrible, but we made it work. Also, you definitely, definitely want to have a hair dryer or heat gun or else you'll tear up your Switch trying to free up the stock tape. We managed with using a space heater because I couldn't find my heat gun, but I don't recommend it.We put it all back together and it came right on. I didn't have a chance to rate the battery life but it had 40% on it out of the box and took charge just fine. Hoping that's the end of the frantic search for chargers when we're on road trips or trying to leave the house on time.

Battery itself is fine, the tools are pathetic
The smaller screwdriver seemed to hold up well enough, but the tip of the larger one stripped after just a few screws. I know screws could get stripped, but the driver itself? Other than that, the battery itself seems to be working so far.
