DOSS SoundBox Plus

I was kind of skeptical at first thinking to myself flashing lights and all probably about the only thing it was good for, but overall that actually sounds pretty good. It doesn't have that deep rattling bass, EQ sounds more balanced than anything. But for someone who is particular in this type of stuff and half deaf I said it was pretty good haha.. It was pretty loud, has decent bass to it, and the lights are cool looking, even though the music sync part doesn't work with the music very well. Battery life seems to be pretty good on it so far I haven't wore it all the way down yet. I bought mine used for 26 bucks so i say it was worth the money. One feature I would say I like a lot is that turns on without loud crazy sound effects and it turns off the same way. Connects pretty quick to Bluetooth also. Haven't used the aux or TF card slot yet so can't comment on those. I ran my EQ on my phone with it..doesn't sound to bad even with the bass up but definitely doesn't have a rich deep bass sound, speakers are just too small for that. Does have a nice punch to it though for as small as they were. Think the speakers are only half the size as they look, as you can see the outlines of them through the lights. U can see that in the pics here. There's like a film type thingy over the speakers to make the reflection of lights evenly. Looks like u can see the actual speakers in the lights haha

Amazing sound quality for $20!! Easy to use, sits right on top of my toolbox

Sound is very good considering the price. It’s a solid, well made product. You could find a better sounding speaker but it would cost you at least twice as much. I bought this for an old box truck I drive for work so I can listen to music, german language lessons, and take work calls without having to touch my phone too much. It works great for all those things. It’s not a top shelf sound and I wish it were a touch louder. But all and all this thing was well worth the money and I am happy with my purchase!

I searched through about 20 different products before settling on the DOSS SoundBox Plus. Even then I had to research to see which I model preferred. My specific use was to add fireplace sounds to an electric fireplace insert using the Doss's TF Card slot (same as Micro SD). The quality is amazing! Though the recording I used was an actual fireplace, the sound representation is so amazing that, when I first played it, when I heard it crackle, I looked up to make sure the doors were closed on the fireplace. It sounded so real! If it's this good on a common sound effect, it'll be great for music. I'm running it without lights and it runs well over the 20 hours advertised on a single charge. I've already bought a second one for the same reason for another fireplace! Excellent device, great sound quality whatever you use it for.

Well....I was about to return this product.....the reason was that, though this speaker had a good sound output when paired with my mobile, the volume was terribly low when connected to my laptop even with the maximum volume setting in my laptop. I tried with all sorts of tricks, but failed. It is then I accidentally put my hand on the touch sensitive volume button on the speaker and moved my fingers clockwise following the blue glow light....and voila....the sound increased!!! I don't know what it is with other users but this is the only minor technical glitch I found in the speaker, the volume has to be controlled manually on the speaker when connected to a laptop. Other than this, I can bet this is the best speaker at this price with a lovely sound quality

I purchased one DOSS Soundbox Plus to do video calls and listen to podcasts, blues and classic acoustic music. It sounded wonderful. I knew it had the ability to connect to another speaker in a wireless connection, so I purchased a second. The pairing was simple and the end result sounds amazing. True stereo. I really like the fact that when I turn the power on both speakers, they automatically pair themselves and are ready to play. I use them frequently and have not had any issue with battery life. I connect them to my Vankyo Z10 Android tablet (another amazing product, btw) and am now in the process of searching for a good equalizer for the tablet to complete the whole sound experience. For the price, you cannot beat this sound capability.

Doss is not quite an "ASTONISHING" sound quality, "BOOMING" bass and "PULSING LIGHT SHOW". The sound quality is acceptable for a $40 speaker. The volume can go very loud without diminishing the sound quality. However, I feel that I do not want more of something that is not great to begin with. I do not recommend it for dinner parties or house parties. It works well as a personal mobil sound device. The Doss is good at low to mid volume for a workstation, kitchen, bathroom, bedside, small patio, car, etc... It is convenient and fun and well worth $40, but you may be disappointed if you set your expectations too high. It will not "TAKE YOUR PARTY TO THE NEXT LEVEL" It is too small and underpowered for that. I would have given 4 stars if the seller didn't rave about it like it was the greatest invention since sliced bread.

I love this speaker. It has great sound for what it is and works beautifully. I have had charging issues with it twice, where it would no longer take a charge. The first time, Amazon replaced it. The second time, it was too late for Amazon so I wrote to DOSS and they were amazing. Asked for a few photos and a video of what happens when I try to charge and then immediately sent me (via rush delivery) a replacement. Followed up to make sure it works. They've changed the charging cord so it looks like they were aware of the problem and fixed it. They took complete responsibility for everything and were great to deal with... and I had my beautiful speaker up & running just a few days after the previous one had a problem. A+

Sound effect is good.

Received my goods in a very good condition - as in it's well handled. I'm satisfied with my buy. I did not expect much because you get what you paid for. I did a lot of research first and watch reviews on youtube even just to know how's the base like. It's quite decent and probably the best portable speaker I've ever own.

One of the cheapest speakers with TWS functionality. They've done away with analog controls, opting to use touch sensitive controls, which I guess is handy because there is less components to break, but the volume implementation was a little confusing at first. It turns out you have to turn by touching the illuminated blue circle itself. Battery life is great, not sure I'm getting the full 20 hours as claimed, but I'm definitely getting more than 15 hours per charge, which is charged via micro usb, and not usb c. The illuminated speakers are there if you like it, it's got several modes, with one mode that turns it off if you don't like it. It's not that bright, and you can't really see it in direct summer sunlight, but indoors it's fine as well. Now for the most important part, sound quality. Test sound tracks are " Sunrise" by Gfriend for the vocals and high range, and "Side Effects" by Stray Kids for the bass and low range. Honestly this thing can go quite loud to the point of where it becomes uncomfortable, so pure decibel-wise you don't have to worry. The sound gets distorted and tinny as the volume goes too high though, so for ideal sound quality you won't want it too loud. The dual speakers are identical and it doesn't have a speaker that's dedicated to bass/low range, so the bass/low range suffers, not too thumpy. Mid range and treble is just fine though. But honestly you're going to have a lack of bass for any wireless bluetooth speakers at this price range, and driving a dedicated speaker for bass (mini subwoofer) would destroy battery life for the speaker. I only have one of these so I was unable to examine the TWS capability of it.
