Will the 1LAC-A-II detect 120VAC? The Product Description says it "detects 20 to 90VAC, but also says "Applications include testing...an outlet"

My husband is the one who bought the 1LAC-A-II for his work, and he says it does detects from 120VAC to 277VAC.

How do I know this is the real thing?

It is the real thing, I've used it multiple times and I am very satisfied. (as an aside)I was watching 'This Old House' and saw the electrician on the show use the Fluke to check his circuits.

Will this detect voltage in water?

This tester has a minimum voltage of 90v. It is not waterproof. For that situation, you're going to need a good voltmeter.

Does the fluke 1lac-a-ii low voltage detector beep when voltage is detected?

Owe yes strong beep you can hear, It also beeps when you turn it off but not when you turn it on the white part lights up flashes and beeps when you detect voltage
