Rich Flavor and Versatile Use
### **"Rich Flavor and Versatile Use: Kikkoman Tamari Soy Sauce Review"**I recently started using **Kikkoman Tamari Soy Sauce**, and it’s quickly become a staple in my kitchen. This **8.5 fl. oz. bottle** of tamari soy sauce offers a rich, deep flavor that enhances everything from stir-fries to sushi. Here’s my detailed review based on its taste, ingredients, and versatility in cooking.### **Flavor Profile**Tamari is known for having a **richer, more robust flavor** compared to regular soy sauce, and **Kikkoman's Tamari** is no exception. It has a **deeper, umami taste** that adds complexity to a variety of dishes without being overly salty. The flavor is **slightly less sharp** than traditional soy sauce, making it a great option for people who prefer a **milder, smoother** taste. What I love most about this tamari is its ability to enhance the flavors of both meat and vegetables. Whether I’m using it as a marinade for chicken or drizzling it over stir-fried vegetables, the tamari brings out a **rich umami** that elevates the dish. It’s also perfect for dipping sushi, as it complements the delicate flavors of fish without overpowering them.### **Gluten-Free**One of the key benefits of **Kikkoman Tamari Soy Sauce** is that it’s **gluten-free**. Unlike regular soy sauce, which often contains wheat, tamari is typically made with little to no wheat, making it a great alternative for those with gluten sensitivities or celiac disease. Despite being gluten-free, it retains the **full-bodied flavor** of traditional soy sauce, so you don’t have to compromise on taste. For anyone looking to avoid gluten, this tamari is a fantastic option. I’ve used it in recipes that call for regular soy sauce, and the flavor is just as satisfying, if not better.### **Versatile in Cooking**This tamari soy sauce is incredibly **versatile** in the kitchen. I’ve used it in a variety of dishes, including:- **Marinades**: It’s perfect for marinating meat, tofu, or vegetables, adding a rich flavor to any dish.- **Stir-fries**: A dash of tamari enhances the flavors of stir-fried vegetables, rice, and noodles, providing that deep umami taste.- **Dipping sauce**: Great for dipping sushi, dumplings, and spring rolls, offering a smooth and savory taste without being too salty.- **Soups and broths**: Adds depth to soups and stews, enhancing the overall flavor without overpowering other ingredients.Because of its smooth, balanced flavor, **Kikkoman Tamari** works well in a variety of cuisines, not just Asian dishes. I’ve even used it as a substitute for regular soy sauce in salad dressings and homemade sauces, and the results have been excellent.### **High-Quality Ingredients**As expected from **Kikkoman**, the ingredients in this tamari are high-quality. The tamari is made from **soybeans**, with no artificial additives or preservatives. The short ingredient list ensures that you’re getting a **pure, rich soy flavor** without unnecessary fillers. The **natural brewing process** adds to the depth of flavor, giving it a more complex taste compared to mass-produced soy sauces.### **Bottle Design**The **8.5 fl. oz. bottle** is well-designed, with a **drip-free spout** that makes it easy to pour just the right amount. The size is perfect for regular use without taking up too much space in the pantry, and the bottle is sturdy, ensuring it won’t tip over easily.I also appreciate the **compact size**, as it’s convenient for both home use and travel, making it easy to bring along for gluten-free dining when necessary.### **Pros**- **Rich, deep flavor**: Offers a robust umami taste that enhances a wide range of dishes.- **Gluten-free**: A great alternative to regular soy sauce for those with gluten sensitivities.- **Versatile**: Perfect for marinades, stir-fries, soups, dipping sauces, and more.- **High-quality ingredients**: Made with naturally brewed soybeans for a pure, flavorful sauce.- **Easy-to-use bottle**: The 8.5 oz size is convenient and easy to store, with a drip-free spout.### **Cons**- **Slightly milder**: While many will appreciate the smoother taste, those who prefer a more intense saltiness might find it less sharp than regular soy sauce.- **Smaller bottle**: If you use tamari frequently, you may run out quickly with the 8.5 oz size, though it’s a great option for occasional use or those with smaller storage needs.### **Final Thoughts****Kikkoman Tamari Soy Sauce** is a fantastic option for anyone looking for a **gluten-free, full-flavored soy sauce**. Its **rich, smooth umami taste** makes it versatile in the kitchen, whether you’re using it as a marinade, dipping sauce, or in cooking. The high-quality ingredients and **natural brewing process** ensure that you’re getting a product that’s both delicious and wholesome. If you’re looking to add depth and flavor to your meals while avoiding gluten, I highly recommend **Kikkoman Tamari**. It’s a great addition to any kitchen, and its **smooth, rich flavor** will elevate a wide range of dishes.

It's delicious!
This soy sauce was a marvelously pleasant surprise to someone brought up on the Westernized version of soy sauce we are all familiar with here in the states. This product is made by, and for, the Japanese market, and it is a HUGE improvement over what most of us are "used to". The flavor is deep, rich, and smooth. Both the sodium and sugar content are much reduced, as they increase those just for our terribly dulled American palates; the salt content especially. I can now use it as I please with no fear of shooting my BP sky high, as long as I behave. (It tastes so good, I'd be tempted to drink it. I know, I know...) It adds a great flavor to anything you care to use it in or on, and the price is decent, considering the large amount you get. It's actually cheaper buying it like this than it is buying the salty stuff in the store. I think you will be pleased with this product.

The flavor beats American made Kikkoman Soy Sauce hands down.
The flavor of this Japanese Soy Sauce is amazing. American made soy sauce seems to be predominantly salt and that's all I could ever taste. Sometimes I'd feel sick after using it. But this...it's just amazing. I can of coyrse taste the sodium, but I can also taste the other ingredients it's made with. I definitely get a taste of the wheat, and I don't think it has any, but I seem to detect a mild yeasty flavor. It's also just a tad thicker than US made soy sauce. The US brand runs everywhere, but this seems to stay put a bit better. It also smells heavenly when you cook with it. I am so surprised, because the US version smelled vaguely nasty when it was heated. I don't know what the difference is between the two, but if you enjoy soy sauce, definitely give this a try. It's also a good value, especially being imported. I keep it in the fridge so it will keep that fresh taste that it had when I opened it. Every single store in my area was out of the Kikkoman that I normally use...I am so glad I found this shopping on Amazon. I'm finding myself actually looking for recipes to use this in...and I tossed the leftover US made version of soy sauce I still had, along with the low sodium version that tasted vile.

Soy Sauce
It's more affordable then double brewed, has a less salty and caramelized nodes. To open it submerge top side down into a cup of hot steaming water for a minute, unscrew and remove the stopper.
