Couldn’t make it work on my carburetor

2005 Mercury Mariner. Throttle cable not found. "Dealer only" item at $$$. Some mods and creative use of the INCLUDED brackets and she works.

This was the worse perchance that I have made in a long time.I was installing it on a Chevy 327 with a performer plus intake and a new 625 Holley street demon carb.1st. The cable pull was horrible even with very little bend in it.2nd NONE of the brackets would work with this carb, I ended up making my own bracket and just using the cable.3rd After deciding on a length and cutting the cable, it becomes a finger jabbing bundle of needles.Even with the outer cable sleeve the outer cable coving stabbed me at least 50 times!!4th I spent hours and hours trying to make this set up work, I threw most of it in a box and out it on the shelf. I only used the cable.I CANNIOT STRESS TO YOU HOW CRAZY THIS THING MAKE ME. I WOULD NIOT EVEN USE THIS THING ON MY LAWN MOWER.....

FIT OK CABLE IS A LITTLE SHORT

It took most of the day to switch from 1965 throttle set up to this spectre kit, but it works great, we spent lots of time fiddling with everything making sure every thing was cool. One thing of note this comes with a hook up for a kick down kit, which I will be installing later but it's good do know it's there and ready to go.

I used the brackets and cut the stock cable to hook up stock s10 throttle cable to avs2 carburetor

Loved the springs and spring return bracket. In a Buick 455 it helped me relocate the kickdown cable to the carb instead of the gas pedal. It added snazz to the engine
