Works well, seems accurate

I bought this because I just bought a 1972 Monte Carlo with a 350 sb, all original and wanted to see what she would do. The local 1/4 mile strip closed down recently and there is no others within a 5 hour drive. The price of this would cost the same as gas. It does 0-60 time, 1/4 mile time AND speed and G forces as you are turning, accelerating, and stopping. You cannot do all 3 at the same time, it is one setting at a time. You follow the directions to put in the weight of the car and driver and the testing parameters(range of miles per hour, e.g.: 30-70 mph) and it will give you an estimated wheel horsepower within the parameters which is pretty cool. The mount has 3 suction cups to hold to the windshield securely. The time and speed are consistent. My best time is 14.7 @ 103 mph with a max HP of 225 at the wheel. Statistically, it is correct and the numbers all match. If the track opens up, I will test it on the strip. Alibaba.com wholesales this for about $20 a piece but you have to buy 18 at a time. Might be a good investment. I bought this from Amazon for $58 and they have sales every once in a while so look for that.

Buy a better one that this!

Item arrived new in factory packaging, but batteries were leaking inside packaging. Makes one wonder how long it payed around? Installed brand brand new batteries. Nonetheless, it did not work as advertised. 0 to 60 setting wouldn't start up at all. 0 to 1/4 mile would, but always returned an error 2.Telephone number listed was never answered, and appears to be someone's cellphone, rather than K.A.T.

As expected but not great

It works as expected, shows the G-forces. But...It does not show the peak, which is a big issue. When I am driving I am going to be looking at the road and not at the meter and it is continuously changing so doesn't make sense to to store and display peak values later. If I would have known this I would not have bought this. I thought it would be a given, who is going to be looking at this continuously when driving and to what purpose.the other issue is cheap build quality, the right buttons are sticky and don't function well.Overall a cheap product with limited functionality.

Useful, but has a frustrating design flaw

Like others mentioned, the arrow keys on the right-hand side are super sticky. If you turn on the device and hear endless beeping, it means the up-arrow key is stuck. If, instead, you see a msg that says "reset," it means the down-arrow key is stuck. The only way to unstick them is to keep pressing between the two keys (pressing the opposite key will just make that one stick, instead). It's a big design flaw and happens every single time the device is powered on; I'm not sure how they missed it.As for accuracy, the 0-60 numbers seem to line up with what the manufacturer of my car lists, and the device will throw an error, as you'd expect, if you slow down during the launch, so *something* is clearly working. For the price, it's likely worth it, considering the closest equivalent to this device is more than double the cost (and doesn't have the convenience of being battery powered).

The Matrix is fairly easy to use and for the most part I had ...

Works fairly well for the money. I have had it for a few years now but have not used it lately due to the mount being loose. The Matrix is fairly easy to use and for the most part I had repeatable results. I am sure there are more accurate ways to measure 0-60, 1/4 mile, and hp but when you do not live close to a drag strip and don't want to pay for a dyno, this makes a reasonable replacement. I suggest taking several runs for an average. The plastic snap-fit mount is not the best. Mine has become loose and the meter will fall out on hard bumps or heavy acceleration. Launching hard is out of the question which is required for 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. That is why it has not gotten much used lately. Phone apps may be able to perform just was well.

The Matrix works great. Easy to use

The Matrix works great. Easy to use, easy to read even at speed. It mounts great and seems to be a very quality item. Would buy again!!!

There's gotta be a better device. Add the "S" !!!

I'm sure that with enough time, I'd get used to the way this thing actually works, but I'm lazy. So, I'm frustrated with the auto-calibration and like other reviews I want a log of the data, not just in 'real time' which is useless unless I have my GoPro sitting there recording it. Which I don't. That would be ridiculous. Also, this wasn't cheap. So...that also stings a bit. But I drive a Tesla, so...actually, no sting. Just thinking about how awesome Tesla Model S cars are and then...I just don't care about this G-force monitor anymore. My phone has an app that works better and logs data and is cheaper. Go Galaxy S5!Wait...I bet ALL products would just benefit from adding an "S" to the model line up.
