Good Case, Will not fit >4" Barrel Semi-auto (read: Beretta 92FS and the like)
Pros: Well built, hardy, tough, easy to configure, aftermarket support. Will fit a 4" barrel or smaller semi-auto (think P229 or smaller) with room for magazines Two strong locking points and very tight gasket is sure to protect from water. Cons: Will not fit a Beretta 92FS 4.25" barrel due to beaver tail to muzzle length being to long. (this is the firearm I intended it for) The internal size on the description was misleading because YOU MUST DEDUCT 1/2-3/4" from the INTERNAL DIMENSIONS to get an idea what will actually fit inside. I gave 5 stars because, if I had known about the internal dimension issue, this would have worked just as well as my 1450 and 1500 siuze case that I use regularly. This will fit a P229 (and maybe a P226 w/o beavertail) and still have room.If you have this, go with the 1400 (slightly bigger case length)

Pelican 1200 AOK for me!
I bought this Pelican case for storage and security of my Glock 17 at home. The case is just right for the size of the pistol and could accommodate three total magazines. Either one in the pistol or all three side by side (if you plan it out right). I marked the foam with a marker and trace cut it with a knife. Used scissors thereafter to cut the foam out to the depth I wanted. Easy enough. The foam, case construction, and everything else in between is excellent. I use these cases with my job and they're nothing short of durable. I personally can attest they can survive and remain intact under extreme direct loads. Anyway, this was just what I needed for home. Tossed two long shank locks on the case and good to go.

Excellent case for my Sig 9mm
After being horribly worried about my first time flying with a firearm, I decided to go with a better constructed case. This case fits the bill perfectly. Hard plastic construction with weatherproof seals and two hole for locks on either side of the handle. I was able to fit my full size sig 9mm, a box of ammunition and even had room for two extra magazines. The pick and pluck foam was great. I pulled out the outline of each item and then just cut to fit the height. The TSA approved the case with my two locks attached and I never had a problem. Great product and I would highly recommend!

Perfect for S&W Shield .45
I got this specifically for airline travel. The box fits my M&P Shield .45, spare mag along + S&W EZ 380 with spare mag and a 20 round box of ammo. With this all in the box, it was a squeeze, but works. The airline process is such that the box then has to go in the checked luggage, so a bigger box means less room in the luggage for other stuff. The box is standard Pelican quality. I recommend a cable to attach the box to the luggage itself, to prevent sticky fingers from removing the box from the luggage, as the bag is tagged as special, making it a target.

Perfect case for fragile things!!
This is a great little case for a camera or small handgun or whatever. I’m using it for night vision scope I purchased and it fits perfectly. Very easy to cut out whatever shape needed for the device your putting in it. It’s built like a tank and waterproof as well. There’s holes to place padlocks if needed. Overall I love pelican cases! Perfect for fragile electronics or weapons etc...

Pelican cases are some of the best cases in the world.
There are few things made of better quality than this case. If you have anything of value that needs protection from the elements this is the case and brand for you. Don’t settle for anything less. Case is awesome. Pluck foam is easy to shape and remove. I traced out my device with a scissor. It fits perfectly. Highly recommended and it is made in the USA !!!

Great for my Nikon D3200 DSLR and lens!
I bought this case to be smart and protect my investment. It makes no sense NOT to protect the things you spend your hard earned money on. The Pelican 1200 is a perfect fit for my Nikon D3200 and the 18-55mm lens (with lens hood) that I use for photography. I can now feel safe taking my camera hiking, kayaking or on any adventure. The case is waterproof and VERY sturdy. I believe it when they say it's crush proof. The foam was VERY EASY to customize. I just placed the camera on top of the foam, outlined it with toothpicks and then used a knife to cut out the exact dimensions to keep things snug. The 1200 fits the camera, lens and strap beautifully, but if you're looking to include your other accessories (battery, charger, cords, etc) then you may want to opt for a larger size.

Solid but Small
This is my 4th Pelican case of various sizes. I use them to store & transport electronic instruments into the field. The foam insert is readily gouged out to fit the shape of my items. I have found them to be extremely well made, weather-tite, and virtually indestructible. The Pelican 1200 case is not much larger than a ladies handbag (would hold something the size of a small box of cereal). It is fairly light weight and easy to carry. Why Silver? I find getting them in various colors helps me keep their contents straight.
