Perfect for deep conditioning it gets nice and hot and it’s very easy to use

This is the 3rd cap I’ve purchased in the last two years. All similar in cost. I had been using a great gel cap that lasted for years but is no longer available. So my first choice was to buy a new gel-filled cap. They must be using a different substance now b/c the gel compartments started exploding in the microwave almost immediately. Yuk. The manufacturer’s optional heating method was to warm in boiling water. Too much time and trouble. 2nd cap was electric, made of thick plastic and tied under the chin. Besides having to remain hooked near an outlet, the cap was oddly shaped and didn’t fit snugly on my head. Tying tighter choked me and it still didn’t fit properly. Also, neither cap got hot enough nor stayed hot. Will not get another one that uses gel or electricity. In all honesty I had basically given up on finding anything and had resorted to occasionally using a heated, moist towel wrap or conditioning at the hairdresser alongside a cut. But recently, a friend had told me about using flaxseed or rice as a filler for heating caps. Had also seen it on Pinterest. I was still skeptical but decided to try the Glow by Day Conditioning Cap. I cannot express how surprised and satisfied I am with my purchase: 1. the flaxseed-linseed filler heats quickly and evenly, 2. seeds are natural so no concerns about gel chemicals, 3. the cap is amply-sized, 4. It’s well-made with a strong elastic edge and quality fabric, 5. feels very comfortable, like a ski cap or hat, 6. you can move about the house and almost forget you’re wearing it, 7. It also looks good. You could probably even go out with it on and not raise eyes! There really are no cons except no plastic cap is included. But you can purchase inexpensive packages of disposable caps or get a thicker, washable one. I have very long, bleached hair and am 50+ so I need frequent hair conditioning to keep it looking good. I also have a large head lol so if you’re small-headed with short, cropped hair, the cap may not fit as well. I’ve used it twice now with my regular post-shampoo conditioner and only for 15 minutes b/c I’ve been in a rush. My blond hair has come out truly shiny, smooth, no split ends and easy to style. Can’t imagine it being any better with a deeper conditioning product and capped for 30+ minutes. A 100% winner.

Works better then my hard shell gel heat cap. Get to a comfortable temperature...hot enough for me to feel the heat without the burn like a gel cap. This definitely retained heat better then the gel cap (10min on the gel cap SERIOUSLY) who only conditions for 10min? I can get at least 20 to 30 min out of this. Had to adjust the temperature to get a full 30. I at least heat twice during deep conditioning so I can have 1hr of heated deep conditioning. It's smells great the aroma of the flaxseed is soothing to me and it comfortable to wear and I have a big head. However it is pricey and it's not the hot head thermal care as I originally thought. Same concept so I didnt bother to fact check. I saw a picture and it look like the product. While I've never used the hot head one it has gotten amazing reviews and its 30 bucks. So if your looks for the same cap cheaper I say try that 1st. I'm buying a hot head next you can't have too many heat caps.

I adore this little cap. I can use it anytime, it is the right temperature for just long enough to provide excellent results. I have dry, curly hair. It requires deep conditioning regularly. A heat cap is the best way to achieve that. With the electric heat cap, washing and conditioning my hair was such a chore. You’re stuck sitting and can’t do anything other than read or listen to headphones because your ears are covered. Now all I have to do is wait the 70 seconds it takes to warm this cap up. It’s a multitasker’s dream! As someone who’s used the electric heating cap for decades, I was reluctant to switch to this type of product. Having gone through two electric caps over the years, however, I didn’t want to invest any more money in a product that was becoming poorly made with each generation but was nevertheless becoming more expensive. This is a product that delivers far more than what you pay for!

I love this cap! I heat for 1 min, flip it inside out and heat an additional minute. When I first put it on, it's pretty hot, but not uncomfortable; however, you'll want to adjust how long you microwave based upon trial and error. It does not squeeze my head and I can walk around while my conditioner melts into my tresses. Would definitely recommend!

This heating cap is great because it's soft and flexible. I use it when I deep condition in the shower. I place a plastic shower cap first (99 cent store or one hotels provide), then I place this heat cap over it, and to hold the heat in longer and keep it dry as I shower, I place a good shower cap (from a pharmacy) over the heat cap. Works great. I tried a gel cap and hated it because it was stiff and hard to handle. This cap is way better.

I am extremely satisfied with this heat cap. I have a hooded soft bonnet dryer, and although it worked great for deep conditioning my hair, it was very loud. I live in an apartment, so you can see where my problem lies. With this heat cap, there is no noise, the warming time is quick, and I can be mobile. With the hooded dryer, I had to sit in one spot and was not able to move, but with the heat cap, I can go anywhere I want. I would recommend this for anyone who is looking for an alternate route to deep condition their hair, without all the fuss. I would definitely buy this product again.

Love this thing. I’ve ordered some in the past and they’re too tight for my head and very heavy. This one was generally light weight and fits all head sizes. You need to buy plastic caps to wear under it but it does a good job deep conditioning your hair. I usually wash, apply growth oil and hair mayonnaise, put on my cap, and hang out for 30 mins while I use a face mask. Then hop in the shower and rinse everything off! My hair is getting really long and healthy and I definitely see a difference since I started applying heat to my hair masks. Way easier than the inflatable hair helmet my mom used hahahaha

lost all elasticity and now it just as a flat fabric stuffed with seed. Sad that it was premium product considering other cheap options. Money wasted.

The loveliest thing about this cap is that it can get really hot and do the job, however; it doesn't stay hot for a long time, and in return it creates a red line on the forehead from the elastic in it, and it hurts my ears as well. Also, the flax-seeds inside don't stay in place when you put the cap on your head. Other than that it's a great item. I loved the packaging and the color. It does the job.

Very good for me as mom with kids need to move all time , but heat does not last for 20 minutes

Instead of a heat cap I received a bunch of cheap plastic shower caps and an empty packaging from the original heat cap! It's not even a fake item sent, it's a scam!
