Avalon A3BLK Self Cleaning Bottom Loading Water Cooler Dispenser, 3 Temperature-UL/Energy Star Approved-Black Stainless Steel, 5 Gallons

I bought this for a good friend of mine who was just diagnosed with cancer. She was drinking tap water for years and never drank enough but now that I got her this dispenser, she finally drinks enough water. She loves that it has the hot setting so she can have tea & you can turn on and off via the switch in the back so it won’t use as much electric if you don’t need it. She said setup was simple and she has had zero issues with it (she’s had it about 3 months now.) I’ve used it whenever I go over to her house and the noise is not bad at all. It also fills pretty quickly. I’m actually purchasing one for myself because of how much she likes hers.

So far it’s been great. Assembly was simple. Noise level? Have not noticed. Hot water is hot, cold water is cold. For the money it’s a great buy. And looks more expensive then the other brands. Hot and Cold water came out 15 minutes after install.Update: my unit stopped cooling. The pump was still working, hot water was still hot. The Snowflake light was on. I contacted Avalon cause it states to do so. When I did, they told me I needed to contact Amazon since it was fulfilled by Amazon. “Kinda contradicts” what they say on large stickers on the water dispenser. Amazon was great to replace the unit and easy to work with. Thank you Amazon. So this is my second water dispenser in less 5 months of ownership.

Im going to be fair in this review its a great looking product and has great features but because of my experience I cant give it a good review. In only about 6 months the cold water wouldnt work so eventually they sent me a free replacement after doing the whole cord cut process because I was within the 1 year warranty. Everything went well with that. My main complaint is that they do not extend the warranty for the new unit. They only back their product for one year and if anything happens to the first unit you need to purchase an extended warranty on the next one even if your still within the one year warranty on the first product. Luckily it worked out for me on this one but seeing as how they barely guarentee their product quality i dont have high hopes for this to last too long but we’ll see. Even after all the hassle I went through replacing the first one they would not even give me a better deal on the new warranty even just for the year that it should be covered so I will just be getting a new water dispenser system when this one goes bad. It could be that this was a fluke but a 1 year warranty with no extension on the replacement says it all to me.

As someone who LOVES cold water, and living in a city with our quality trap water, this purchase is easily my favorite. It's easy to set up, easy to use, and quiet! We haven't used the hot water feature very much yet as it's the hottest part of the summer, but the cold water option is tested regularly. You can turn off the hot and cold features individually. It takes about a half hour or so for the hot water to get hot enough for noodle soup, and about the same for the cold water to get cold. Once the "change soon" light comes on, we can usually get another 3 or 4 cups of water through the cold tap, but it's room temp at that point.Also, it's nice and quiet. It did in our living room next to the recliner, and we barely hear it working. We've had it for about 2 months, and still loving it.

Most of the other reviews are spot on when it comes to this water dispenser. My family loves the convenience of having hot, cool or cold water at their fingertips. We drink a lot of water in our house, so it only made sense to purchase a water dispenser. I gave this product 4 out of 5 stars only because it can at times get a little noisy. I'm assuming it's just the refrigeration component inside, but the convenience outweighs the slight humming noise.

Had to have original shipment replaced because was damaged by USPS during shipping. Replacement was received much faster and in great shape. The hardest part of setting up this water cooler was the unpacking. I really don't know what some are talking about when they say it's noise level is loud. The only time I hear it is when it's drawing water up from the bottle, which is pretty fast and not obnoxiously loud as far as I can hear. If the tv is on, I don't hear it. The water temps are great. I really love the self cleaning option, especially while dealing with the pandemic. This is my 5th water cooler over 20+ years and also my favorite. I'd love for Avalon to mfg nugget ice machines.

Purchased the Avalon A3BLK Stainless Steel Self Cleaning Bottom Loading Water Cooler. I will say this is a nice looking water cooler. Unfortunately, I was not able to test it. The center cool water button was pushed in and stuck. Could not get it to release back to fully up like the other 2 buttons. Cooler also was damaged badly during shipping due to very little protection but this damage did not cause the stuck button. The bottom and top 6 inches of shipping box has foam protecting the cooler but the rest of the cooler has no foam to protect it. It is just cardboard and one inch of empty space. Any hit to the middle of the box and you can expect damage to the cooler as it is very thin easily bent metal. On the product box i received, you could barley tell the box took a hit but it was enough to badly crush the side of the cooler. It really needs to be shipped in an additional box for extra protection during shipping. Shipping it in the product box is not sufficient protection.Also for the few wondering, if you have 5 gallon glass water bottles, the wand on this cooler will not fit the glass bottles fully. The outer diameter of the glass spout is the same as the plastic jugs so it goes on but due to the glass being thicker, it has a smaller diameter hole causing the wand to not fully snap into place. It may still work but would leave an inch or so of water in the bottom.
