I've had this pillow for a few months now, and I think it's great. I was a bit skeptical about this pillow, since most other memory foam pillows are just large flops for me. But this one really grew on me, and I can't sleep on traditional pillows anymore. When I first got the pillow, I was amazed at how it expanded from a rolled form, to a normal large pillow. The smell is relatively strong when you receive the product, which is why I let it air out for about 5 days. I would turn the pillow once a day to let the sides evenly air out. The smell even after 5 days was pretty noticeable, but keep in mind, I never threw it into a dryer or anything. The smell definitely goes away with time, so don't mind it too much.When I did start sleeping on this pillow, it did feel pretty resistant. If I had to compare it to some form of cushion, it is extremely similar to seats in a car. Which is why I had my initial regrets on this product. But don't let that scare you, since you do have to break in this pillow for about 1-3 weeks time. The cushion of this pillow after the breaking in period is just AMAZING. I'll try to explain how the cushioning of this pillow feels in comparison to normal pillows you get at general stores. When you get a normal pillow, it starts off as extremely fluffy for 1-2 weeks. But after that period of extremely fluffiness, you get a period of a "JUST RIGHT" sort of cushion and resistance. Then after that "JUST RIGHT" feeling that lasts for about 3-4 weeks, it is just flat from there on out. With this memory foam pillow, it is now always at a "JUST RIGHT" feeling for me. And it has been that way for months now, never feeling like it's going flat. So after you get past the initial smell and uncomfortable resistance, the pillow should feel pretty great.I'm a side sleeper, however I could easily relax on this pillow when on my back. I've actually found myself getting pretty sleepy with this pillow, just by resting on it to surf on my phone. I haven't experienced any problems of feeling too hot or cold when on this pillow, if anyone was wondering. I feel like it is easy to mold the pillow to how you want, if it somehow gets displaced. What I usually do from time to time is grab the pillow from both ends (left/right), and begin push + pulling. This usually gets the foam centered in the middle, and it naturally molds to where I rest my head.The cover that holds all the foam is actually extremely comfortable. It is very easy for me to use this pillow with or without an additional cover, and I might actually prefer it without an additional pillow cover. But I believe it is preference, I think the pillow would get dirty if you choose to sleep without an additional cover.I think if you're curious about getting a memory foam pillow, definitely try this one. I don't think it should go flat on you in any time. If you're wondering what size you should get, I would recommend going for the Queen size, since that is the one I'm speaking on behalf of. I've actually bought this pillow for 2 relatives, since I thought this pillow was pretty game changing to sleeping. But I did warn them that they did have to break the pillow in!TL;DR- Smell may be strong for others, but does go away with time- Initially has a relatively uncomfortable resistance at the start, takes 1-3 weeks to break in+ Has a very pleasant cushioning after breaking in+ Does not feel like it goes flat, even after a few months+ Feels neutral in terms of temperature, doesn't make you feel hot or cold+ Easy to mold+ Cover is comfortable+ Go for the Queen size

My whole life I primarily used standard cotton pillows and occasionally a down pillow. I finally got fed up with neck pain from my cotton pillows that were always a pain to lay on just right, either they were too big and fluffy and put my neck at an awkward angle or they were so flat and stiff that I had to fold them in half for any support. I was looking for a new pillow and was shopping around for a memory foam pillow but I kept reading reviews that they were super comfy but lost their shape after awhile. That's when I stumbled upon these shredded memory foam pillows. After reading the very positive reviews I decided "why not" and so I ordered a couple about 2 months ago now. Initially I wasn't sure what to think because they were so different than cotton or down pillows but after about a week I had gotten used to sleeping with it and now I can't stand to sleep without it as it conforms really well to any sleeping position and it tends to stay cooler than standard pillows because of the materials used. Out of the box I wasn't surprised by how they were packaged, super flat compacted slightly smelly pillows. I threw them in the dryer on delicate for about 15 minutes and they puffed up quite large and full. The slight chemical smell was only noticeable if my nose was pressed right against the pillow but even then it wasn't strong enough to bother me, some people may feel differently about that though. The smell dissipated after a week or 2 of normal use. I haven't had to re-fluff the pillows yet but I tend to flip them around to get better comfort throughout the night although I would say it's minimal adjustment compared to cotton pillows. All in all I'm very happy with these shredded memory foam pillows and will be sticking with them for the foreseeable future.

This pillow is nice and thick and supports my neck and head well when I lay on my side. I'm very happy with how easy it was to get adjusted, and it did smell a little bit the first day, but not anymore.

I always woke up with a stiff neck and I’ve been through 3 other pillows before I finally tried this one. I tried a pillow that was way too soft, one that was too firm, and a contoured one that made sleep even more uncomfortable.This pillow is PERFECT. I prefer softer pillows and this one feels like I’m sleeping on a god damn sheep. My head sinks into it but there’s just enough support that I don’t completely squash the pillow.When I first opened it, it was super flat. I put it in the dryer and left it for 40 minutes with air only. It came out super fluffy. I let it sit on my bed for a few minutes and it got EVEN FLUFFIER. There is a smell to it but I honestly didn’t mind. I had to take out a few handfuls of stuffing to get the perfect height.I’ve only had it for one day but I already feel SO much better. It’s so damn comfortable. No more neck pain. I’m surprised how quickly it actually went away. BUY THIS AMAZING SHEEP PILLOW!!!!

Right off the bat this pillow takes some getting used to if you are used to the standard pillow you'd pick up at Walmart or Target. The shredded memory foam is noticeably lumpy. It also takes a little shaping when you lay down at the start of each night to get, but you quickly get used to that as well. Squish the sides together, punch the middle, done.My gripe with this pillow is with the process of washing the thing. This pillow will hold an *incredible* amount of water. I'm considering getting a few more of these to keep on had just in case my house ever floods. I'm fairly certain I could drain my basement by tossing two or three of these bad boys down the stairs. The result is roughly the same as if I'd tried to run a sack of rocks through my front-load washing machine. I couldn't even let the spin cycle finish because my machine was rocking side to side so severely I was worried about it being damaged.Then came the dryer. Actually, we're still on that step. I initially rang the excess water (so much excess) out of the pillow yesterday at around 5pm. It's now 1:36pm the following day, and I've just put the pillow in the dryer for yet another run through because there is *still* damp stuffing inside it. Look. I tried to be a good lad. I heeded your clearly label instructions to "Tumble Dry Low Heat." But enough is enough. I rested my weary head on a stack of folded towels last night while my beloved pillow enjoyed danced the night away in the dryer. Said dryer is now on full blast.I just hope it's enough.

I normally don't leave reviews, but I had to with this item. This pillow really is as great as the other 5 star reviews indicate. I had the option of having it delivered in one day for free (before 9pm) and selected it. Unfortunately, the guard at my gated community would not allow the delivery person entry. I didn't find this out until I checked the status of my order. The message said that delivery had not been accepted and that the pillow would be returned to Amazon (and my payment would be credited back). So I then re-ordered the pillow and chose the 2-day delivery knowing it would then be delivered during the day and would not be turned away by the guard. The following day (yesterday) I received the package on my front porch. Later on, I happened to go out my side door and found a 2nd package on my stoop. It was a 2nd pillow. Being that these pillows are expensive, my first thought was to return the 2nd pillow the following day. After sleeping on the 1st pillow last night, I decided to keep the 2nd pillow.....they're that good! After opening the 1st pillow, I did the "push and pull" that was recommended in the directions and the pillow fluffed up. It REALLY fluffed up! There was a very slight odor to it but when I put a pillowcase on it, I couldn't smell it anymore. As other reviewers with back and neck problems had indicated, upon awakening, I had no pain at all in my neck and no headache. Before going to sleep, I had "squished" the pillow into the shape that I wanted and it was still in that shape when I awoke. I did feel a slight bit warmer with this pillow but I'm pretty sure it's because the pillowcase I put on it is made from microfiber. I'll put a cotton pillowcase on it tonight and see if that makes any difference. I know I can use it without a pillowcase, but that would mean washing the pillow weekly and from what I've read, it takes quite a while for the pillow to dry.. All in all, this is one great pillow! I have not been compensated in any way or given this pillow in return for this review.

Update after 3 mos use: (rating dropped to 1 star)Okay, I admit. I really tried hard to want to love these pillows. The smell just never really went away--it doesn't matter how much you air them out. Also, you need to fluff these pillows every night or they harden (all the foam forms to into a hard lump) and it gets very stiff, heavy, and uncomfortable. This pillow is very heavy so when you fluff it, it's not very easy to do. You're literally grabbing and pinching, separating all the foam parts that have meshed together. Lastly, my neck and shoulders started getting stiff and painful. Every morning I woke up, I felt like like all my neck and should muscles had tensed overnight. The pain was starting to get worse so I got rid of the pillow and after going back to my normal pillows, I'm having a good night's rest again and waking up feeling pain free. I like firm pillows but these were hard after a while of sleeping on them and was not as comfortable as I thought they would be. If it hadn't been over 30 days since I bought these pillows, I would send them back for a full refund! Makes for an ideal gift if you can't figure out what to buy someone because everyone needs a comfortable pillow! This pillow arrives tightly rolled up and wrapped up in saran wrap material. Takes a few minutes to "inflate" and then you can fluff it up. Be warned, the pillows have a strong chemical smell from the foam. I strongly suggest airing the pillows out for at least a night before using, especially if you are sensitive to smells. You can also throw it in the dryer on the 'air dry' cycle.I am a side sleeper and like firm(er) pillows. Don't get me wrong, I also like soft pillows since no one wants to sleep on a rock hard, stiff pillow. This pillow provides me with the perfect support so I don't feel like I'm suffocating while sleeping. The pillow does not go flat while sleeping. With the bamboo cover, I still use a cotton pillow-case. I have no issues with sweating so the breathability of the pillow doesn't bother me but it's a nice added feature. If you prefer thin, flat pillows, then this pillow is not for you. I wake up with no shoulder or neck pain and am enjoying my new pillow. The only thing I did not enjoy (aside from the initial fresh out of the wrapper smell) was the price fluctuation. I initially paid $10 more for my first purchase.

Not the magic sleep it was hyped up as. I found it lumpy and uncomfortable. Removing stuffing means the remaining is loose in the case making it even lumpier instead of just thinner.

It is hard to get a comfortable shape and the pillow is too hard for my taste.

Seemed to be good quality but did not help me sleep better.
