Our power supply transforms 110 v AC to 12 v DC. In Africa, we're told, they run on 220 - 240 v. Plug in the AC adaptor that came with the keyboard and you'll either fry it, or the Casio, or both. SO we searched diligently to find the right AC adaptor to play anywhere in the world. We looked at a couple of ABC products -- they have a lot -- and asked Amazon questions. ABC answered within a day or two and recommended this AC adaptor unit -- which we got. So far, we've only been able to test it in North America on 110 -- and it works perfectly. The REAL test will be when it arrives at the orphanage in Kenya and they put on a plug adaptor and stick it in the wall socket. I'll be back to update at that time! I trust, however, that it will work, both based on the voltage info on the back of the adaptor and on ABC's own recommendation.By the way, ABC -- why not list the voltage your AC adaptors are built for in the product information? In addition, it would be helpful if you'd list amps and wattage as well.So far -- recommended! I love that it has a smaller profile, and the two piece cable is longer and easier to plug into an outlet than the original adapter from Casio. I've had it for over a year now and have had no issues.
