I'm not a craft or woodworking person, but I needed a few blocks of wood and these were the right size for the job. I didn't have access to a saw or to someone to cut them for me, so it was just easier to order these from Amazon. Was it a good value? I don't think so, but it was convenient.These appear to be good quality, but I'm not an expert. They came well packaged, and they were cut all exactly to the same size, and appear to have an even and unblemished finish. I used this block to space my wainscoting in my dining room. I suggest you measure and mark the block before using it. This will ensure you use the same block size and direction throughout the project. I found a block slightly off but nothing noticeable, so I decided to stick to the same block throughout my project for a more seamless look. The painter's tape was strong enough to hold the block while I nailed some things in place. Which means the block is very lightweight. However, for the most part, lines were drawn throughout the bottom wall by dragging the block down and across the wall for a template.

these blocks are well made and easy to use for my crafts. I like making small, encouraging signs with these. “welcome” “Chose Kindness”, etc. They stand up on their side well, and fit nicely on a desk, counter or windowsill. The blocks accept paintt well, and are smooth enough to paint words on. you could also use these blocks under furniture legs to increase height, if necessary.

Arrived scratched, too much hassle to return. Note that this is not solid wood (as stated in description).

These worked out well and I may order more in the future.

Although the title says unfinished, the blocks I received had a smooth finish and I was very pleased with the quality of the blocks.

The blocks worked well for my craft project but this is NOT wood. I was able to stain it easily and in many ways treat it like wood, but it's compressed sawdust or that stuff most cheap desks are made out of.
