Corsair Obsidian 750D Full-Tower Case - Airflow Edition

Pros and thoughts: I read many comments and watched several reviews on the regular 750D from youtube before deciding to buy this tower. I needed a tower that I could install closed water cooling loops into. This tower has a lot of potential to do exactly that. The tower also has some very nice additions. The hard drive bays are removable and stack-able. I found them very easy to use. The removable ssd bays are a very nice touch. The brushed aluminum made for a very nice look. There are plastic parts to this case. Most notably the front and rear feet and behind the cover panels for the 5 1/4 drive bays up front and the hard drive and ssd drive bays, but they are colored exactly the same color as the rest of the tower and don't hurt the esthetic nor did they seem likely to break imo. Cable management is super easy with this tower. I've never been good at cable management, but even I found a way to make the cables fit nicely. When installing components, I only had problems with my usb hub. It was too short to correctly use the easy snap installation bracket on 5 1/4 drive bays at the front of the case. Luckily, the cable side of the bay allowed me to put a screw in to hold the usb hub in place. I found the power and hdd lights to be bright enough but not to bright to be annoying. Something else to note, I would recommend getting the 750D Airflow Edition over just the plain 750D as the extra airflow from having the front designed to let air through helps with temps considerably. In comparison to my last cooler master mid-tower atx I am now getting temps at less than 83F/28.3C on idle as compared to 93F/33C before. This tower is noticeably larger than my mid-tower atx, but also has really good cable management which has helped with the airflow. The included fans, of which there are 3, are 140mm size and are really quiet. I only wish they came lit up in some color. One of my major concerns when buying this product was the reviews claiming damage during shipping. I did not receive any damage during shipping. I order my tower directly from amazon using amazon fulfillment. Youtube videos pointed out damage to the front panel and the side viewing window that happened from shipping. I believe based on those unboxing videos that the packaging has been changed. It appears that they now tape the front panel shut, which helps keep it from becoming lose and breaking. The side panel has both sides of it covered in a plastic static cling sheets to prevent breaking. All 8 corners of the case come with styrofoam corners to protect them. As long as the people shipping it aren't outrageously rough with it, it should come unbroken. Cons: -The front panel placed in front of the 2 large fans at the front of the tower has a delicate snap to close action that I don't care for. I feel like I am going to break it every time I take it off or put it back on. I don't think anything on a tower this expensive should feel easily breakable. I haven't broken it yet, which is why I haven't taken a star off for it but I feel like it could happen even with me being super careful. Seeing as how it has to be taken off to get at the filter to clean it, I don't look forward to the next time I have to remove it. -The hidden fan slots at the front bottom of the tower do not have an air filter. -Not really a con but more a nitpick, I found the headphone and microphone jack to be super stiff when I first got the tower. So stiff I couldn't plug my headphones in all the way until I worked it loose with a air can straw. I haven't heard anyone else complain about this so maybe it was just a problem on my jacks? Either way not really a major problem. The headphone and microphone jacks are working just fine. -Another con that I read about but did not have, I noticed some owners reporting the power button being really soft and then quit working altogether. I personally did not experience this, the power button seems to be stiff and well working.

I purchased this case back early in 2017 to make a new build with after having lost everything in the Erskine fire of 2016. I was definitely not prepared for doing this quickly and as such took my time to shop around a bit. What makes it harder is any time you buy things sight unseen. Online purchases are always a gamble as a result if you're not ordering staple items such as monthly purchases that you already know and trust. Well, I lucked out. The Corsair CC-9011078-WW Obsidian Series 750D Airflow Edition, Full Tower ATX Case gave me all the room I needed for the full size ASRock ATX motherboard and all the trimmings including the NVidia GTX 1080 video card and more. The design and durability to make it happen is in there. The design is exceptional for hiding cables away so it has a neat and functional appearnce. The "no tolls required" for many things such as hard drives and drive bays is nice. However, you'll likely need a screw driver for most everything else. It's a fairly sturdy case as well. I've seen heavier duty for sturdiness, but those cases will run you 4 times what this one does and you'll definitely need to consider all the things you intend to put in them before buying because they tend to be very proprietary for mounting components. I had one such case, loved it, but it was lost in the fire as well. Replacing it would have been a financial nightmare. The case comes with a very nice easily cleanable grill for removing dust from the air intake surfaces on both the top and the front. Another one is located on the bottom for the power supply air flow that simply slides out like a drawer to the rear of the case. One area of concern that I had early on was reviews that had some negative things to say about the plastic clips molded into the front cover that close the top of the front cover into place, but after 4 years they seem to be doing just fine. As a result of reading those reviews I've been rather gentle with those clips for fear of them braking off and I can certainly see where that would be an area of concern since it would destroy the functionality of the front cover were they to do so. However, four years later and they still operate just like new. Just push in to get the cover to release and push in again to have it lock into place. Just be sure to be careful to line up the bottom tabs properly first and don't used excessive force on the top edge. If it doesn't simply push in to lock properly then you may have misaligned the bottom tabs. If a four year experience with this case that's still looks great and is still going strong doesn't sell you then I can't think of anything else to say. PS. For those of you who are into chicken lights, this case has a very nice windowed left side panel for easily seeing inside as well as a glow from the back of the case fan if it's lighted that can be seen right through it from the front grill. That was one of only two lights I have inside, the back case fan is lighted and the Corsair logo on the liquid cooler for the CPU is lighted as well. I might also note that I'm very impressed with the Corsair liquid cooler. It came as an already enclosed/sealed unit, installed easily, and it has worked perfectly now for those same four years. No heat issues and no leaks. Simply blow out the radiator with air pressure when you do your spring cleaning. Wonderful job by Corsair.

This being my second Corsair case and looking at others, I am overall very happy with this case! I went from a mid tower Corsair case and went to this one because things were getting crowded. This is a full tower ATX case and it definitely gives a lot of room to work with. I use my PC, for gaming, music recording, and video recording and editing. Here is a list of what I am running- Asus Z390H ROG Strix Motherboard Intel I7 9700K processor Corsair DDR4 3200hz 16gb RAM Corsair H1001 Liquid Cooling Hydro Series(highly recommend if overclocking your CPU) Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super Graphics Card Creative Labs Sound Blaster Zx Series sound card Focusrite USB audio interface Asus Blu-ray optical drive Moving all of this over with the help of my son, took only a couple of hours. There is plenty of room for cable management, and lots of room for expanding when the time comes. Pros I have found with this case: -Plenty of room for all your needs -Accessibility of USB ports on the front, as well as headphone and mic ports -Sound? Yes you are going to hear the fans running, but by no means are they loud. They are quiet in my honest opinion -If you have a need for them, up to three bay drives for optical drives -Lots of room for hard drives, 4 side mount bats for ssd drives, and 6 modular bays(meaning you can configure them to how you want them to lay out) - which you can use for either 6 HDD or 6 SSD. I gave this case a solid 5 stars because of the versatility of the case, room, and it being quiet. The fans are big and yes I was worried about them being loud, but exceeded my expectations. If you're looking to upgrade, this case is definitely worth the money!

I recently bought this case for a new PC I built for myself. I wanted something that had plenty of room for a liquid CPU cooler and fans and airflow, and this case delivers. Also, the size makes it easy to work on inside if you want to replace or upgrade something. Just know that this is a big case and might not fit well on all computer desks. Pros: - Looks nice and professional - It has plenty of room for things like a liquid CPU cooler and a long GPU - Organized: The different sets of screws were in separate bags. Also, the case allows good cable management, allowing you to route most of the cables and chords behind the motherboard so they don't clutter up the case above the motherboard too much. - Screwless installation for 3.5" and 5.25" drives makes installation of drives fairly easy - It includes real expansion slot brackets rather than pop-out throwaway placeholders that many other PC cases come with - It comes with 2 front fans (140mm) and a rear fan (most other caeses only come with 1 front fan, and some don't come with any front fans at all). The fans are quiet. Cons: - The front panel is supposed to latch in place, but it doesn't stay on very well. I contacted Corsair and they replaced my front panel for free. - Cosmetic: If you install an optical drive or card reader in one of the 5.25" bays, the front of the drive isn't flush with the front of the case - Know what you're getting into: It's a big case and might not fit well on some computer desks. Other thoughts: I installed a liquid CPU cooler to the top of the case using the long fan screws that came with the cooler. I put the fans on top of the radiator, with the long screws going through the top of the case, through the fans to the radiator.

The AF edition 750D is HUGE - so big it needs its own table/shelf. Inside, there is so much room that my ATX board and all other components barely fill out the space. With all of the fan mounting locations, there is no shortage of cooling capacity, and the cavity up above the MB has plenty of room if you'd like to water-cool. Cable management is easy as well with the cavity on the right-hand side of the case, back behind everything. The mesh panel doesn't do a whole lot of filtering, the mesh isn't very fine, and the fabric is extremely fragile. Don't blow it off with canned air or you might rip it. ...yeah, you heard me - EXTREMELY fragile. The case isn't airtight, anyway. If you want a low-dust, maintenance free system, this isn't the case for you. I don't have a water cooler, but I'm considering switching to one or swapping this case for something smaller that I can seal off with a larger, finer filter and lots of positive pressure. One of the fans that came with the case began to vibrate less than two months after I bought the case, but that's not a big deal - fans are cheap to replace. The size issue is my own problem, and probably the dust issue, too. This would still be a great work station case in a room with its own dust filtration, or with a cleaning regimen that ought to be a part of any professional setup anyway. The quality of the filter and the bad fan are on Corsair, though, giving this case four stars despite otherwise absolutely 100% living up to its claims of capacity and cooling potential.

This review is based purely on the look and feel of the case as I have not received all my parts for my new build yet so I can't speak to the quality of the case as far as installation, but I will update once I can. ANYWAY, my first impression of this case was based on the box it came in, which is huge. You may expect a rather large case when you order a full size ATX, but I still found myself thinking "wow, this thing is big", for reference, I'm 6'3 and the case comes up to my knees. That being said, the size of the case doesn't hurt it aesthetically. The case feels solid and very well built on the outside. If you are like me, and you have the bad habit of using your case as a shelf/side-table, you may want to note that the top of this case is mesh for airflow purposes so you may not want to sit anything on top. As for the inside of the case, the "Modular Drive Cage System" feels delicate. Corsair uses a "Tool-free" design and the clasps to slide the drive bays in and out feel like they could easily bend or break if you aren't careful. The case comes with screws of various shapes and sizes tucked into one of the drive bays, along with 4 small zip ties. Otherwise, there is tons of room in this thing! Just eyeballing it, I cant imagine having any space issues. The glass side panel speaks for itself. This is a very professional and "mature" looking case, but the side panel will still allow you to show off some LED's and your wire management skills. One issue I did notice however is that the side panel does not "lock-in" very well. Aside from the two screws on the back, there is very little holding the side panel in place. Once you remove the back screws, the side panel won't immediately fall off, but if you breathe on it too hard be prepared to catch it before it hits the floor. On the bottom of the case, there is what I THINK is a sliding removable dust filter for the PSU. It simply slides in and out, I assume for ease of cleaning purposes. I'll try to update this once I finish my build.

This is an excellent case. Previously, I had the ThermalTake Chaser MK-1, but wanted something a bir more professional and straight forward looking, but that still had plenty of space for my components and to work in. I'm a big fan of cable management in my systems and the MK-1 just baaaaaaarely made the grade, with its limited amount of space behind the motherboard tray. The Corsair 750D has a full inch between the tray and the panel, which is enough to where there's no bulge on the panel door when I close it up. The inclusion of zip ties is cool, but I prefer my velcro straps. Also, twice as many grommets than my old case and a few other slots for running cable. Inside of the case has a ton of room. I had no issue getting my hardware in there, including the nVidia 1070 card. Actually made my board look like mATX. My board lined up perfect with all of the posts. Screws from my previous case worked fine. With the case being modular, I was able to remove one of the two hard drive cages, which I'll be replacing with a new fan. Speaking of drives, the SSD holders on the back side are awesome. I would recommend using one of the provided screws to secure it to the chassis, as they somewhat easily unclip from the frame. The front of the chassis looks nice. Nothing fancy. The covers for the 5 1/4" bays mark very easily, but I ended up removing all of them for my blu-ray drive and 2 storage drawers. The USB ports and audio ports are easily accessible and work fine. The power button and HDD LED work ok, as well. All-in-all, a great case, that I am looking forward to having for the next few years and possibly expanding on. Thinking of running a dual GPU setup and would need a bigger PSU. All things I know this case can handle.

I've been building PCs for 25 years, my first one was an 80286-20 with a 20MB MFM HDD, so I've seen technology get better and better and usually everything gets simpler with time. Nowadays with overclocking there are needs around using watercoolers, extra fans - funny looking lights (to me, I'm old), etc. Amazingly, power supplies, outside of the connectors they now use, have remained relatively the same over the years. So have the screws. The wattage has increased for today's demands, but otherwise they are fancy transformers of AC into DC. Nothing exciting. Until I bought this case, the cases themselves fell into this same category: I saw no real substantial improvements from AT-designs to ATX, mini-ATX, etc. for 25 years. With this case, Corsair though now makes a PC builders' life much easier, the motherboard standoffs are already installed (thank you, Corsair) and the backplate only requires 2 or 3 cusswords to line up with the motherboard at the time of installation instead of 50. The airflow is better than most, and there's a lot of room to add more fans (and I recommend using corsair fans, they are the quietest for the CFM/airflow they provide) if you so desire. As other reviewers have mentioned, this is a big case (full size so it's easy to fish around wires when you have to). The most important aspect to me, as one reviewer put it, is that it didn't look like it just came out of a Transformers' movie - this is an elegant looking, grown-up case. It'd look equally as nice in an upscale office environment as it does at home. It's an easy case to build in. It's got airflow. It looks nice. I submit that having a caster kit available would be nice, but for many of us it's not terribly necessary.

Muy buen gabinete para alojar mi tarjeta madre y demás componentes. funciona a la perfección, creo mejorara si aumentan el calibre de la lámina del mismo, ya que es débil para alojar componentes tan importantes. Pueden mejorar mucho, si el sistema de acople de las tapas laterales mejora, por algún sistema mas profesional y robusto. Mas sin embargo los acabados son decentes y muy buenos, me agrada el sistema de montaje de la tapa del filtro frontal y superior para la ventilación. es decente y de buena calidad.

This is a great case for builders who want a simple more plain and non-flashy type of computer case that is stylish but not over the top. It can work well as a typical gaming rig, or would look equally nice in a contemporary office setting as a business workstation. The build quality is quite high for a mostly steel case, but not as high as a Lian Li aluminum case per se. It has ample space for cooling, radiators, 6 hard disks, 4 SSD drives, great cable management setup, accommodates a wide variety of motherboards, and runs fairly quiet. Everything is assembled and disassembled with ease, and the case has a lot of airflow. One thing I like is the inclusion of 5.25" style drive bays for those who still have a use for CDs, DVDs, DVDRW etc. as many case designs have axed such features with an eye to the future. I'm quite happy with this case and may buy another one in spring/summer time for a new AMD Ryzen 9 3950X build I'll be doing. Highly recommended.

Ich wusste, dass ein Full Tower bedeutend größer als ein Midi-Tower ist..aber so groß hätte ich mir dieses Case nicht vorgestellt! - 4 gummierte (große!) Löcher für die Kabelführung, - 4 SSD Halter auf der Rückseite, - zwei ausbaubare Festplattenkäfige á drei Steckplätze, - Staubfilter unterm Netzteil, vorne und ein magnetisches Staubgitter oben drauf, - 3 Laufwerkplätze, - 3 140mm Standardlüfter von Corsair, - genug Platz, um 2x 140mm oder 3x 120mm Lüfter oben zu verbauen bzw. um dort Radiatoren einzubauen - uuuund jede jede Menge Platz um sich auszutoben. Die Vorderseite hat ein nettes gebürstetes Aluminiumfinish, und der Rest des Gehäuses ist in mattschwarz gehalten, was ein wenig anfällig gegenüber Fingerabdrücken ist. Aber ganz ehrlich, wann betatscht man sein Gehäuse außer beim Ein- und ggf. Umbau. Ansonsten wirklich schick zum anschauen, wenn man auf monströse Cases steht bzw. den Platz, den solche Full Tower bieten, benötigt. Innerhalb des Gehäuses kann man wie man lustig ist seine Kabel verbauen, so viel Platz und so viele Befestigungsmöglichkeiten für die geschickte Verlegung der Kabel ist einfach grandios und ich hatte beinahe schon Angst, dass meine Kabel zu kurz sein würden, zu meiner Überraschung ging das Verlegen ziemlich problemlos diesbezüglich. Allgemein war ich nach 3 Std Umbau (einfach alle Komponenten vom alten Gehäuse ins neue) fertig und das war mein erstes Mal, dass ich das als Ein-Frau-Mannschaft erledigt habe. Es war ein sehr angenehmes Gefühl alles einzubauen und hat auch Spaß gemacht, zu keiner Zeit musste ich mir Sorgen machen, dass die GraKa (ZOTAC GTX 970 AMP! EXTREME CORE EDITION) nicht passt oder ich Platz- und Lüftungsprobleme bei den Festplatten (habe zur Zeit 5 Stk. von WD) bekomme. Einziger Punkt, bei dem ich auf dem allerhöchsten Niveau meckern könnte wäre, dass man für die extra SSD Steckplätze ein gerades SATA Kabel benötigt, ohne angewinkelten Stecker, was ich zur Zeit nicht im Haus habe. Nach dem ersten Anschalten war das erste was ich bemerkt habe: Das ist aber kühl hier! Die verbauten Lüfter verrichten solide ihr Werk und blasen ordentlich Luft durch das Gehäuse, meine Grafikkarte hat auch 'nen kleinen Kälteschock erhalten und läuft nach dem Umbau in dieses Gehäuse um 5-10°C kühler, bei den anderen verbauten Komponenten verhält es sich ähnlich. Ich würde sagen, das Case macht seinem Namen alle Ehre! Wer wert drauf legt: die Lüfter sind nicht die leisesten, im Vergleich zu meinem alten Gehäuse NZXT Phantom (Midi-Tower, der der wie ein kleiner Stormtrooper aussieht) mit Standardlüftern, laufen die von Corsair ein wenig leiser (dafür haben die Corsair Lüfter keine LEDs verbaut, was natürlich kein K.O.-Kriterium ist). Insgesamt bin ich mit diesem kleinen Monsterchen von einem Full Tower mehr als zufrieden, finde den Preis auch komplett angemessen und würde es bedenkenlos wieder kaufen! (Updates und Fotos bezüglich dem Case werden bei weiteren Umbauarbeiten demnächst folgen.) Bei Fragen stehe ich gerne zur Verfügung.

Tout est bien pensé dedans pour qui veut manager ses câbles avec soin. Les ventillos fournis sont silencieux et efficaces. Rien ne dépasse les 30 degrés en idle et 40 en charge dans le boitier pourtant l'enveloppe thermique AMD est conséquente avec le 2700x et un RX vega 56. La face s'ouvre facilement et le nettoyage est simple. La grille aimantée au dessus c'est top pour ça. Les supports SSD sont bien (4) les supports 3.5" eux sont bien mais leur chassis mériterait plus de rigidité (ils se déforment facilement). Plus de problèmes une fois des disques dedans ça rigidifie bien l'ensemble si on en a plusieurs.

Adoro questo case in tutto e per tutto! Non mi sono affatto pentito dell'acquisto. La cosa che più mi interessava era lo spazio sul retro per far passare i cavi dell'alimentatore, e in questo Corsair non mi ha deluso! Sono riuscito a far stare comodamente i cavi di un alimentatore non modulare da 850W (precisamente un Corsair TX850 enthusiast edition). Spazioso, funzionale ed elegante! Sull'estetica ognuno può dire la sua, a me piace moltissimo. Forse la finestra è un po' troppo grande, onestamente non mi interessa "mettere in mostra" i miei HDD o il mio lettore CD che ahimè un po' si vedono, ma nulla di grave, anche perchè si crea un effetto opaco generale niente male. Tutto il resto ormai si sa, la modularità di questo case è eccezionale, spazio per numerose ventole e eventualmente radiatori di diverse dimensioni. Sulla silenziosità non ho molto da dire, nella media. L'unica piccola pecca (se così si può chiamare) è il filtro antipolvere anteriore, facendo appieno il suo dovere dopo pochi giorni la polvere inizia ad accumularsi e si crea un leggero "velo bianco" sulla griglia che non è bellissimo da vedere, ma se siete maniaci del pulito in pochi minuti torna come appena uscito dalla scatola. Come detto in precedenza i filtri antipolvere fanno a pieno il loro dovere; in più di un mese di utilizzo, l'interno del case è ancora immacolato. Sul servizio Amazon nulla da dire; ho ricevuto il tutto in anticipo, la scatola era particolarmente rovinata in un angolo, a dire il vero era proprio aperta ma, fortunatamente nessun danno per il case. Soddisfatto!
